I was wondering, we have reservations at the castle on Thanksgiving night and was planning on going back to the room for a while and then going back to the park for our late reservations. I am concerned about the potential for the park reaching capacity and not being able to get back in to get to our reservations. Does anyone know if this is a possibility?

Thanks,

Brian

It is a possibility.

They close the parks in phases, and try to let those with ADR's in for as long as they can. However, when the park is at capacity and completely closed - it is completely closed.

I haven't heard of this on Thanksgiving day, generally New Years Eve and 4th of July.

As people leave do they allow more to enter or is it closed for the evening? Our reservations are for 9:30.

Phase 4 closings, mean no one gets in .Including those with adrs .Thanksgiving Day is generally not one of the days it gets to that point.Usually, Christmas, new Years Eve, and 4th of July. There is always a possibility it could happen, so you really need to weigh that heavily with what ever plans you may have.

They only stay closed till enough people exit the park to a safe number level, then they reopen.A 930 p ressie SHOULD BE ok.

I've been to MK the last 2 Thanksgivings and going again this year. We always head over around 3 or 4:00 and never have been turned away. This year we are eating at LTT at 4:15. We will go to the MK around 3 and spend the rest of the day/night there. Last year it was open till midnight.

OK, well I am more at ease now. I really appreciate all of the replies.

Been going for Thanksgiving for eight years now. Never heard of a park closing on Thanksgiving night. But you will definitely know the status as you head for the exits. Ask a Cast Member and they will be able to tell you if there is any danger of the park closing. I really doubt it, though.
