Cool-Beans said:This thread has become depressing (except for Uncle Remus and his laughing pit stop.)
Where people stay, whatever the reason, nothing wrong with it. I don't think anyone needs to justify thier choice with anyone else.
I much prefer a good refillable mug fight to this class warfare junk.

NewEnglandDisney said:You obviously haven't read this whole thread if you think it's just "people complaining about complaining".
It is the WAY in which the OP made their complaint that was the issue.
If they had just come in and said, "Gee, I didn't get dropped off right at the front and instead at another resort's bus stop. I didn't care for that."
But the OP started right in on the "I pay for a deluxe and I expect..." blah blah.
It's not about what you say, BUT HOW YOU SAY IT.
She/he chose to complain while expressing snotty elitism - again, as I've said several times in this thread, if they hadn't started the whole "I'm in a deluxe!" can of worms, this would have never happened and people would have just said, "Yup, that can be a pain."
Regardless of all of this, though, I still find it sad that walking a few hundred feet was so traumatic someone would need to start a thread to "vent". Maybe God was telling the OP they needed more exercise...but coming here and making a complaint while being snotty and elitiest just isn't the way to win "pixie dust".
If you can't see the difference, I guess there is no use in explaining it further - sometimes people just can't see the forrest for the trees.

CR Resort Fan 4 Life said:This might get me flamed by others who flamed the OP, but I am not going to be afraid to say it. I think WDW should upgrade the bus service for each Deluxe Resort. After all these guests pay the most $ per night to stay at these WDW Resorts, so why should Transportation not be any different. I can't tell you how many times my family & I have waited for a Contemporary bus at Downtown Disney & saw so many All Star Resort, Pop Century, Caribbean Beach & Port Orleans buses, before the next Contemporary bus. Because of that whenever we go to Downtown Disney we take my Dad's car which saves a lot of time & this is something we have mentioned to Cast Members that this part of the bus system needs to be fixed. So I think it's fair that guests at Deluxe Resorts should get the same great bus service that guests who stay at Value & Moderate Resorts. Afterall I have read so many posts saying how great bus service at Pop Century or Coronado Springs is, so why should Deluxe Resorts not be any different?
So if you want to examine the Value, Moderate & Deluxe Resort battle, guests at the Value & Moderate Resorts should stop & think how great their bus service is, before attacking guests who stay at Deluxe Resorts who complain about bus service just because we may get much bettter services & etc. In fact part of me thinks a bunch of people who flamed the OP have stayed at Value or Moderate Resorts & thought the OP was being a snob for posting this thread.
FishFlavoredSoda said:You know....let's dissect what the OP's point was:
- Used to pay for higher class service and received it
- Paid for higher class service and is not receiving it anymore
Here's how we've replied to the OP so far:
- OMG, You're a snob
- I prefer to spend my money this and that way instead
- This post is stupid and whiney
- I'm poor and am jealous of people who can afford to pay for more while I am playing the victim of a hate crime because it makes me feel better to think that rich people are attacking me, which makes them represent themselves as evil making me, the poor person, not look so bad
Anyone have a hard time comprehending the points I just wrote? It's in plain english. There's no cryptic hidden message to decipher. Come on, this post isn't about literary comprehension. This is not a Shakespearean play where you need to analyze each line and write a 20 page paper hypothesizing and theorizing what it could POSSIBLY mean.

dreamergirl78 said:Ok, please please please do not flame me. This is an honest question with no harm intended to anyone.
Why do people ask for the thread to be locked? If you are done reading it or "over" the debate why not just unsub or quit reading? I guess I don't understand why threads are locked when really it is just harmless banter between people. I have not seen anything that would be considered over the top or hurtful.
Just a question.... thanks in advance for non-flaming answers!![]()
dreamergirl78 said:Just a side note, which I was unaware of until this past trip. We had an early morning ADR for Donald's Breakfastosaurus. Well since they run EARLY busses we went to the bus area at POP and waited and waited and waited. Well these other people show up like 20 minutes after us and get in line for the MK. (my son and I were waiting on the benches) So I ask the bus driver why in the world he is there for the MK when I have waited for like 30 minutes. Well the bus areas are all monitored by cameras. So the MK bus arrived because the cameras saw them there. Once we got in the actual que a bus arrived about 5 minutes later.
So my point is: maybe busses are only dispatched when there is enough people there waiting to warrent a bus. I don't know. Could be a possibility though. Since POP has so many more people than say CR, that is why you notice that many more busses coming to the POP bus stop.
mattsdragon said:Alright, I wasn't going to jump in again because, as I said before, this is a petty complaint and a petty thread, and I really just wanted to echo what someone else said about the number of whiney complaints that are starting to pop up all over this board (if it's not this, it's 5,000,000 complaints/reports about lovebugs). But now, from what I'm reading, it's turned into a (perceived) haves vs (perceived) have nots.
Someone actually said that people at the value resorts should be thankful that their busses are as numerous as they are. That is just, wow, amazing. We've stayed at value resorts, we've stayed at deluxe resorts (that is what DVC resorts are equal to). To us, the resort is a bed. And there are many others like that who don't go value to save money. If you aren't planning on using any of the ammenities that the deluxe resorts offer, than by all means, go to the values. The beds are comfortable and the AC works. If that is all you need in a hotel, go for it. But this is turning into a class warfare.
It's not where you stay that seperates you from others. Don't judge a man by the decor of his resort, but by the content of his character. Rather than b**** about how Pop's busses seem to be arriving quicker than yours, turn and talk to the person next to you. Get a round of "row row row your boat" started (trust me, people will sing), do something goofy, you're on a pilgramage to see a mouse for crying out loud, act like a dumb kid. Don't get all bent because you have to walk an extra 50 yards because the bus dropped you off at All Star's stop. You're going to be walking a couple of miles anyway, will that extra 50 yards kill you? Just think of it as justification to have one more Mickey bar.
Remember, it's not a vacation, it's a Quest, a quest for fun. I'm going to have fun, and you're going to have fun. We're all going to have so much fun, we're going to need plastic surgery to remove the smiles from our faces.
Who really cares about the busses, in the long run, waiting is a minor inconvenience, and not nearly as bad as watching some lady to tell her kid to pee in the queue.

I think you just completely missed the boat. That's the point. There are people who have enough money that it's worth it to have that extra room. To not feel cramped. Living a certain lifestyle one gets used to certain aspects (larger rooms, bigger beds, quieter resorts, etc.) It's worth the $300/night more or whatever for THEM. Why begrudge them that?
marivaid said:And my reference to Universal Studios.. we've been there several times and this is definitely a place where you need to pay big bucks to enjoy the parks.
No free FP at Universal that's for sure.

I'm not looking to jump into this debate. I'll save my trouble making skills for the Onsite Vs. Offsite thread![]()
letterdavidman said:But keep in mind (as I stated in an earlier post) that Disney has explored the option of going that route. And I wouldn't begrudge them if they decided to implement the "tiered" FastPasses. I'm sure there would be more than enough people willing to pay for, say, unlimited FastPasses at the park of their choice.
marivaid said:Universal doesnt have FastPass, just an "Express line".In order to be able to use the Express line you need to be staying on property (they have 3 hotels and all in the range of $250-$400 per night) or pay an extra fee of $40 PER DAY for each park (so $80 per day on top of what you pay for your regular ticket).
The reason why we're looking forward to Disney is that once you're in the park everyone is treated the same.Fastpass is available to everyone, there is no preference treatment for people who stay on property BESIDES EMH.
I hope it stays this way.
Why would I want to look for these cameras at the DTD bus station when my family & don't take the Disney Transport buses there? Also you said it yourself that the Contemporary & other Deluxe Resorts don't have these camera's, so if they are no good to my family & me why should we see where they are?minnie61650 said:I had always heard that buses usually run at least every 20 minutes but during peak times they run more often than that.
That has also been my experience.
And yes, Disney did install a new bus dispatch system this spring to make the wait times less and the buses more efficient.
I did see the cameras at the All Stars last month.
Look for them by the (*EDIT *DTD instead of CR)
bus stop when you go in December.
The bus stops at the values have different lines and loading for the different parks. So the cameras will help dispatch at the values. Same with DTD there are different bus stops for the different resorts.
The CR and other deluxes and mods most likely will not have the cameras
because the camera would only see a group waiting for bus but could not distinguish which bus or buses they were waiting for.
