In reading the post about MaxPass I got to wondering what the situation is with photo passes? Are they available right now for purchase prior to arriving at park at DLR as they are at WDW with their memory maker or is that something you have to wait until you arrive to the park to purchase? I had assumed we'd just add them to our tickets when we arrived at the park, but this was also when I was under the impression that Maxpass would be coming back by the time of our trip.

I think you have to be logged in to see the purchase page but I was there earlier today and they had the week-long pass and some other stuff available.

Thanks, I'll have to do just that! I know when I purchased tickets/resort package, there wasn't any info on it, but maybe it's been added since then. I'm so used to just adding memory maker to my package when booking for WDW, but I just assumed it was something I could add later.

Just our experience- We have always had Maxpass with the added photopass benefit and loved it! We had tons of ride photos and lots of photographers around the park to add to our pictures. We just got back from a 5 day trip (where theoretically the week long pass would have been cheaper than buying it for each day) the masking rules changed right before we went and I decided to wait and buy the pass after, IF we felt like we got enough photos. I'm really glad I didn't buy it ahead of time! The only ride photo where you won't be masked is Incredicoaster, we found the masked photos far less interesting as our facial expressions were mostly lost. We also only saw a couple photographers throughout our trip and didn't make use of any of them. Just wanted to share how our experience changed from our last trip.

Thank you for sharing that! Our trip isn't until December, but it's possible this covid-19 situation will not be all that better by then (hoping it is, but preparing for the worst!), so being masked for our photos is a very likely possibility. Like you mentioned, I had planned on purchasing the Maxpass and having our photos automatically included, but wasn't sure how it was working out without the Maxpass option. Also, we are so used to just adding Memory Maker to our trip package, it threw me for a loop not seeing a photo pass option when I finalized our tickets and resort. I think closer to our date I'll call and see what options may be available for us then, everything is changing so much from one month to the next, it's probably best to wait lol

Very helpful... I think we will pass on the photo pass.... I think looking at photos of our family riding with masks may be a little sad a few years from now. Can you still take photos of the screens at the end or have they figured out a way to $$ stop $$ that from happening?
