We are thinking of going up to the airport the night before we fly out even though our flight is at noon. We are about an hour or so from the airport. I found a park and fly deal right at the airport for $134. Is this a good buy? Is it worth the convenience?

I am sure it depends on what airport you use. We have done Park and Fly for as cheap as $89 including 7 days of parking near MSP..... shop around and see what you can find.....

Try parksleepfly.com, I have found the best deals through them, for as low as $79.

If we are driving to Indy or Nashville ,which are each about 2.5 hours away, we always do this because we like the earliest possible flight there and latest one back to make the most of our trip.

For our upcoming trip we found that after factoring in gas, the parksleepfly, and baggage fees, it is cheaper to fly out of the closer airport and just park there. That is usually not the case for us though.

I assume you're using DTW from your location on your sig... we always stay at LaQuinta on Merriman Rd. For 5 of us this coming Sunday,1 room and 8 days parking it was $94.99. The QwikPark lot is right behind the hotel and is accessed via LaQuinta's driveway. Shuttles run very frequently and staff are great and friendly.
