Has anyone used one? Can you share your comments?

I am looking at different options for our December trip. We live about 1.5+ hours from Boston Logan. I wanted to look into a Park and Fly hotel since an airport shuttle round trip if we do that is going to run us $200+ tip. It might be the same to stay overnight the night before and leave the car there. However a few that I have found when I then go to look up reviews on them leave a bad taste in my mouth. I don't want to stay in a bad neighborhood and that is what I have seen on a few of them.

If anyone has done this and can share that would be great!

We stayed at the Hilton right at the airport our rate included parking. I think it was around $139. We booked thru a TA. My son and his wife stayed at the Hyatt right next to the airport before his honeymoon last fall. He did it through Priceline, then parked for ???? through calling the hotel directly. Good luck. Give yourself plenty of travel time because of the tunnel horror.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn this past Spring. Can't remember the rate, but I want to say it was about $140/night. Nice hotel, clean, free breakfast.

I too would check out the airport Hilton. Right onsite.

I do Park and Fly almost every trip and we always end up at the Holiday Inn Logan. We almost stayed at the Hampton Inn but right before our trip, Holiday Inn's price came down so I switched since they are what we are used to.

Right now for our trip in October Hoiliday Inn is $250 which is pretty high. Hampton Inn is $179. so I haven't booked one yet. I usually do pay around $150 - $179 though and when I have a very early flight, its worth it. Parking at Logan is just as expensive when you do Central Parking.

Anyway, I've reasearched this each year making sure I've got the best deal and I've never had any luck with the Hilton at the airport. They were VERY expensive. I'd llove to stay there someday but I just don't see it happening.

i checked out the hilton and embassy suites plus 2 others all were 250
its cheaper to park at logan than pay that

Beattyfamily, is the Holiday Inn in a decent part of town? Is their shuttle service to the airport pretty reliable? Do you feel safe leaving your car there for the week?

Appreciate your feedback!

We don't know much about the neighborhood but it seems fine. It's full of other airport parking lots and its industrial looking if I remember correctly. It's very close to the airport, though. About 5 minutes.

The shuttle is VERY reliable and it runs 24 hours a day, about every 15 - 20 minutes. We always ride the shuttle with pilots and flight attendants so that makes us feel better too that all of them stay there.

The lot is outdoors with no roof but we've stayed there at least 5 times and have not had any problems. Once, though, there was a little snow on it but the same would have happened if we parked at the airport.

We've been lucky so far that we've always paid under $200. I also joined their priority club and we usually have a nice basket of snacks waiting for us and last year they also gave us a voucher for a free breakfast but we couldn't use it because we had to leave so early.

I've really got no complaints.

The Holiday Inn is on Rte 1A north of the airport. It's just outside the airport. It is an industrial zone with plenty of businesses nearby. The East Boston RifRaf are several miles away. There is always a lot of traffic in the area. I would not worry about leaving your car there.

With any luck, the tunnel will be open again by December.
