Paris tour

Has anyone been on the tour which leaves from HNY?
Looking to find out what it's like, how long we have at places like Notre Dame/Eiffel Tower, what do we do for lunch etc.

Anthony I have not been on it myself. I'm sure someone will come along later in the day who can tell you how they got on.
I recall reading about a visit on a trip report but can't remember for the moment

Thanks Reid, it's not really important just wanted as a heads up, surprising DF & DM. It still surprises me that they haven't been to Paris!

Did the Paris tour last time due to DW having a bad ankle & needing a day's rest. It is mainly bus based but the boat trip along the Seine is nice too with around an hour to explore Notre Dame. Only problem is that the landing stage at Notre Dame has very steep stone steps to get to street level (not good for elderly or infirm) Then 2 hours round the Eiffel Tower. Lunch is taken at your own discretion at either stop, there is a very good cafe at the Eiffel Tower landing Stage or eat up the Tower itself.

The commentary is quite good too, just remember to get on the correct bus otherwise you'll get it in entirely the wrong language I wouldn't recommend it for young children though as it would get a little boring for them spending all that time sitting.

Our trip is based mostly in Scotland and Germany. We are more or less passing through Paris. We decided to do Disneyland and came across this tour. It would be nice to see the ET ad the Louve. Do you think a day long tour is enough or should we do the trip on our own on the way to DLP?

If you are wanting to see more specific sites such as The Louvre etc then I would definately make it a stop off before DLP. The Paris sightseeing buses are far more accomodating and you can get off and on wherever and whenever you like (and are cheaper too). Paris is not really a city where a short tour does it real justice. The HNY tour completely misses out so much like Montmartre, Sacre Cour, Arc De Triomphe etc. Far better to take that little extra time to explore it's unique magic.

I have been to Paris many times and am still finding new things to see.
