Paris sightseeing- taxi or Batobus?

Hi everyone. I'm hoping someone can help me with this- I've left it a bit last minute, well actually I've looked for a while but still a bit clueless!
Me, my mum and grandma are going to to DLP on Sept 5th- 10th for the 4th time. We havent been since 2009, anyways we've never have been to Paris itself for any sightseeing things which we really want to do. So this time we are going on one of our days.

I'm trying to work out which is best- either using RS/BS transports (we use them from the airport) and pay 180 euro's for a half day trip for the taxi to take us to the Eiffel tower, Notre Dame and the Louvre.

Or.. get a train from Disney into Paris then use the Batobus to go around to each place? Does anyone know how many stops it is from Disney into Paris though and roughly how much it costs and for the Batobus?

My grandma doesn't walk well now so the taxi would be better for that, but cost wise for the taxi its 60 euro's each. I reckon getting a train and Batobus would be a lot cheaper but might be a lot more hassel and time consuming??

I'd really appreciate any help/advice anyone has on this, thanks.

EDIT: sorry I've just noticed I've posted this in the wrong section.

no problem, I've moved the thread for you :).

The BB is cheaper but it's time consuming and more hassle - you have to walk up and down stairs to get to the quai/street level so not great for someone with mobility issues

By the time you've added on your fares from DLP to Paris return (15€) and the cost of the BB (15€) you've spent half of the taxi fare.

There are also stairs in the RER when you get to Paris and long change over corridors at Chatelet/Les Halles

The RER from DLP to Chatelet takes 45 mins.

Perso I'd be taking the taxi as the extra cost would be worth it and it's still cheaper than taking one of the coach tours from DLP :)

Ahhh thanks so much for the info! That's been a massive help straight away in deciding. I think based on that then, we are better off with the taxi, and less time consuming.
Now for the HEAPS of photo's I'll take there! lol

I think you'd be better off with the taxi too. We used the Batobus one day last week and although it's a very enjoyable way of going up and down the river, it is very time-consuming. There's 20 minutes between boats and at one stage when we only wanted to go one stop we decided against waiting and walked it - and beat the boat! Apart from the mobility issues, the seats on the boat aren't very comfortable and there's a lot of waiting around so your grandma would find a taxi much better.

Thanks so much for your help, that does sound quite time consuming like that and like you said- for my grandma waiting around. It's ok in Disneyland itself because we can stop off and sit down and just take our time but if your just in Paris for one day, it's different. Taxi for sure then! I'm so excited now. Going to get my holiday things tomorrow! yayyyyy :cool1:

I think it's a great idea as then if it's wet or whatever you've got someone waiting for you and no walking around or waiting at a bus stop

You'll have to do a TR when you get back :goodvibes

Yeah! It's more kinda personal too I guess. But certainly right for my grandma.

Yep, I certainly will be- and LOTS of photos! :rotfl:
