Hi all

Haven't checked in here for ages but hi to everyone who remembers me and hello to all you new people!

I am going to DLP for the fourth time at the beginning of October. Just wondered if anyone has been this time of year before and what to expect weatherwise? I'm thinking the crowds will be pretty low.

It's a shame the Halloween thing starts later this year (7th) although if we're lucky we might get a glimpse of it briefly on our last day. Anybody know what events are going on in October other than Halloween?

I'm going with my family and they have pulled out all the stops by staying in the Disneyland hotel because it's my 21st. I went inside it before and it seems very swanky so I think it will be a 21st to remember!

God bless

Ben

Hi Ben  Good to see you again :goodvibes Sounds like a great idea to spend your 21st at DLP - especially at the Disneyland Hotel!! :cloud9:

Here's a list of parades and show in October.

I don't know what dates you're staying, but apparently the Disney Villains parade will also be running on Friday 6th for a press event.

Oh that's awesome. We are staying 4th - 7th and the 6th is my birthday so we might get to see a good glimpse of the halloween stuff afterall!

We had pleasant weather at DLP in October.

Wonderful!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the link by the way Bexx! Very helpful! It looks like we will catch sum old stuff and get a glimpse of some of the new programme which is good. Is there a list somewhere of what restaurants and rides will be closed? I know they normally shut off the area by the Dumbo rides in the Winter where the boat ride and casey jnr ride is but I don't think that is a huge loss for me ha ha.

I'm most looking forward to see what they have done to Pirates of the Caribbean coz it's one of my favourite films and I heard they changed it to reflect some of the movie characters now.

unfortunately that is just the pirate of the Caribbean in WDW and DL California. The DLP one has not been changed. :sad2:

Oh that's a shame. I thought they might have seen as you can now 'greet Jack Sparrow' DLP. Never mind tho!

Don't know about the restaurants, but here is the list of ride closures. Not many rehabs while you're visiting, but I'm afraid that Thunder Mountain will still be shut. :sad2:

Hi Ben, nice to hear from you :wave2:

What a fantastic way to spend your 21st, it will certainly be a birthday to remember! :yay: :yay:

We've been late October when it was half term & we3 had a lot of rain. So go prepared.

Shame about Thunder Mountain but glad to see none of the other major rides will be shut. I'm sure I read somewhere that they have shut down Aladdin's bazaar? I know it was only models but I thought it was quite cool. Is it true that it has gone?
