Paris Hotel, Las Vegas

I've stayed there and it was OK. The downstairs is very nice (and the little cafe overlooking the Bellagio fountains is a great place for lunch!). The rooms are (in my opinion) about the same as your run of the mill Marriott or Hyatt. We had a problem in our first room (can't remember right now what it was) and were moved to a second room with a view of the fountains.

It's location mid-strip is nice, but for the money it costs, I wouldn't stay there again. When we go back I plan to stay at the Bellagio.

The Bellagio is beautiful but it costs more than twice as much as the Paris.

I have stayed at the Bellagio and the Venetian (both paid for by DH's work, BTW) but after touring lobbies, I told DH that our next visit (when we are paying for our room ourselves) I would like to stay at Paris. I really like the lobby, and that cafe that was mention, Mon Ami Gabi is EXCELLENT...very highly rated by locals and tourists alike on chowhound.com.

Alas, I cannot comment on the rooms.

For the record, the Bellagio was absolutely INCREDIBLE and really worth the money. I did NOT care for the Venetian.

Someone told me Treasure Island is really good for the price....meaning, it is relatively inexpensive and a pretty nice place to stay.

Meant to say...let us know what you decide and please come back with reviews! I am dying to get back to Vegas...maybe this summer???

I've stayed at Paris numerous times. Love it! Great location, pretty rooms and really good restaurants. Mon Ami Gabi, so so so good. Request a table overlooking the fountains at Bellagio.

There isn't a better deal in Vegas for us.:thumbsup2 When we're looking to splurge we stay at Bellagio or The Venetian.

I've stayed at Bally's. While it's blah, it's connected to Paris, which enables us to hit their buffet, and their cafe. Just a suggestion.

Never stayed there, but I want to. Very pretty! I did have the breakfast buffet there. Oh my!!! Worth every penney!

Has anybody stayed at both the Paris and the Venetian and can compare the two?

Paris is really nice, for what it is. It's one of the few hotels on the strip that is marketed (and priced) as "upscale, but not upper upscale or luxury". It's a cut above most of the other Harrah's hotels (I think Caesar's is the only Harrah's hotel I'd rank clearly ahead of Paris) and the incremental additional cost is manageable. It's obviously not the Venetian, Bellagio, Wynn, or MGM Grand, but it's still a really nice hotel.

I don't gamble there, though. I kind of prefer the dive casinos to the swanky ones. Funnier characters in the dive casinos.

My only really dig at the Venetian (and some of the other mega hotels) is that they're just so darn big and spread out that you can get lost in the maze. Otherwise, it's really nice.

Stayed at both. I loved the Venetian but for the price Paris is a much better value. When we don't stay there we still spend time watching the shows, eating the gelato and enjoying the atmosphere at The Venetian. The food is more expensive there too and that includes the cafes and buffets. The rooms are larger and more opulent. Paris is actually in a better location for where we like to be.

I have stayed at Paris, Venetian and NYNY.

My very first trip to LV we got the Paris for $29 per night. They had just opened were trying to get people try them out. I really liked it. The room was nice and the bathroom was very nice with out being opulent and over the top.
Nest trip we stayed at the Venetian. I love the huge size of the rooms. One of my pet peeves (particularly at WDW) is the amount you pay vs, the size of the room. The step down living room was great but the decor was way to opulent for me. It was pretentious an the bathroom was worse though a great size.
NYNY was awesome as I love art deco and the Park Ave deluxe was a huger room with loads of windows on two walls. The price was fine as well.

It has been about 2 years since I have stayed at both. I thought the Venetian was getting a bit "tired". It just not as swanky as it used to be, but still nice. At Paris our room felt very "fresh" and clean. I too love their lobby and casino. I have not stayed there in the summer so I can not comment on the pool area.

That's interesting. The two hotels are almost exactly the same age. They both opened in 1999.

Both are great hotels, Venetian has larger rooms and is a bit more luxurious but I prefer Paris because it is more centrally located.

We did not stay at Paris but it was one of the most beautiful hotels, I love the walkway from the casino to the monorail station. The casino is gorgeous. Such quaint shops and they have an AWESOME little crepe shop. Also LOVED my meal at Mon Ami Gabi. We sat on the patio and were able to watch the Bellagio fountain show.

We just got back last week from Vegas and stayed at TI. We got a great deal on a petite suite and it was great. The room was nice and big with 2 bathrooms and view of the strip.

Next time we go we are thinking of staying more in the center of the strip as TI is down on the north end. We were actually thinking of Paris because it looks so beautiful. We had lunch at Mon Ami Gabi and it was excellent.
