Schools and various organizations in our area work with local and chain restaurants to hold a small fundraiser monthly. On a designated night every month, you go to the restaurant and put your receipt in a basket on the counter and 20% of the total from the receipts is donated back to the school or organization. It actually works well with my children's school because all of the families go and the kids all eat together and the parents get a chance to meet each other and become friends as well. The restaurants usually put up a sign letting all of their customers know that a fundraiser is taking place and for what organization and many receipts are put in the basket from customers who just happened to be eating there that night. It doesn't need to be a sit-down restaurant either. Fast food restaurants usually draw the biggest crowds certainly not because of their food but because the kids can be loud and run around, especially if there is a play area.

I'm happy many of you agree with what I was thinking- that this would be a pretty easy way to make money, not have to worry about delivering items, etc.
