Actually I think it's great that they support their daughter no matter what. The parents aren't making a dime out of it. They're there for support. So many of those women spiral down because they hide their lives from their family and must turn to predators for morale support.

Porn is legal, highly profitable business in this country. The girl chose to get into it and her parents chose to support their child.

I'm not sure asking their friends how their daughter "performed" is much better though. "Hey Uncle Spanky- how did Mary do in her last movie?" It's just gross.

I watched this family on Primetime "The Outsiders" last week. They do watch their DD's movies, but they claim to fast forward through the sex scenes. Much more disturbing to me was the fact that her father asks her if the guy was a "good date" when she gets home from filming a porno movie They showed this conversation on the TV show, and the girl was like "yes! He was a VERY good date" Yeah, that's a normal father/daughter conversation...NOT!!

I think there is a difference between supporting and helping. And, IMO, a huge difference between posing nude and having sex with strangers. I "might" be able to support the former, but definitely not the latter.

Though I have NOTHING against the porn industry, there's a world of difference between being a Playmate and being a porn star.

I don't have any daughters, but if I did, I wouldn't be nearly as upset with my daughter being in Playboy as I would if she starred in the next Debbie Does Dallas movie.
