Parent's fingerprint linked to child's AP

Is this normal? I took my child to MK and bought 2 annual passes. I scanned my fingerprint for mine and always told the CM the other annual pass was for my 5 year old child and they let me through.

But one time the CM told me to scan my fingerprint for my child's AP. So afterwards I would have to scan my fingerprint twice for me and my child.

So what happens if his mom decides to take him to MK when I'm not there?

Children's tickets don't generally use the finger scanner. (I'm not sure if they do for AP's, but I doubt it.)

I wouldn't worry too much about the issue in this case, even IF they DO use the finger-scanner for the child's AP.

We did this too - but our boys were 12 & 14 (non-verbal austic) so one got mine & the other got dads finger print
but we usually pair off with the youngest with me - actually youngest tied to me the whole time except at waterparks.
I think if you just said the childs tacket has the other parents fingerprint the CM would let you pass thur after seeing that you both have the same last name (now if you have different last names then maybe some type of ID (libary card w/ picture?? - school id))

When any child ticket is inserted inthe turnstile the finger scanner is not activated. As long as the child ticket is valid for entry to that Park the green oght will come on and the turnstile unlock.

In discussing WDW tickets, the term "child's ticket" only applies to children under the age of ten years (and, of course, over 3 years old.)

After that, all guests would be using an "adult" (10 years and older) ticket, which does use the finger scan as part of its entry protocol.
