The creator said some interesting things about having the season finale seem like a series finale in an EW interview.

They never really know if they are coming back or not (I think probably because their seasons end so early before NBC is renewing).

I thought that was at the end of the episode where his girlfriend got the abortion? They didn't show them actually discussing anything.

I saw that scene where Drew was crying in Sarah's arms too. Then the next episode they didn't say anything about it. Was that it then? Are we just to assume that Drew told Sarah and that's that?

Parenthood has been my favourite show since the very first episode! Just love it! It's tackling very real issues with sensitivity, grace and humour. The show has dealt with issues that make some people uncomfortable - but I actually admired the way the show handled Drew and his girlfriend's storyline. Controversial for some I guess....

Yes, that was it. I went back to check. I was expecting them to address it in the next show, but I guess they left it up to us assume Drew told his mom.

What happened to having new episodes most weeks from late September until early May? I know a lot of shows don't do that anymore, but this seems especially short.

No kidding. I said to my sister, who's ever heard of a season finale in January?!?!?! I feel like their seasons keep getting shorter and shorter and it's really annoying.

I absolutely love this show! I caught up on all the season on Netflix last summer and was all set to watch this season.

So, I wondered what happened with Drew and his mom also. I thought I missed something/episode or part of an episode since it was never brought up again what he told his mom.

I didn't know it was the season finale as I was watching and I kept thinking Wow, they really are wrapping up all the loose ends. Then I realized it was the season finale- hopefully not the show finale!

I still haven't watched the last episode on my DVR. I think I am saving it because I don't want it to be over for at least the 8 months until September and possibly forever if not renewed.

I do the same thing whenever I discover a new show. Dawson's Creek was the last one and I watched the whole series like it was a job. Ha!


But it's a good show with nice people. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
