Parental Problems

Hey everyone! I am having a problem with my parents and I was wondering what you would do about it!

It is starting to seem like no matter what I do for them it isn't enough.

EXAMPLE:
I just got in the BETA club for the first time ever.
my mom said~ "Good job....Now u just need to bring up all your grades this semester" in a snotty way!

EXAMPLE 2:
I cleaned out my room the other day without being asked. I did the works; dusted, cleaned out the draws,ect.
Dad says~Now all u need to do is get all that cleaning crap off the floor and clean out under your bed.

Is it just me or am I just not “good” enough any more?

I have been there. What I have found out is when my mom or dad do something like that. I just need to talk to them. Your mom and dad may not of ment it in the way u saw it. Or they could of just had a bad day and were not thinking about it. The only way to find out is if you talk to them and tell them how you feel about what they said. Hope this helps.

Don't worry, that happens to everybody! Maybe your parents were having a bad day that day, or were in a bad mood. It's their fault for not realizing what a good job you did, so just be happy knowing that you did something great and who cares what they think!

Its OK, Don't worry. Sometimes my parents are like that too. I think all of them go through it some time in their lives. Sometimes I feel the same way. So, DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY AND IT'LL PASS!

I feel like this from time to time, also. They probably just had a bad day, or week, but if it continues and it continues to upset you, you need to let them know. Ask to have a serious talk with them, and explain how it is making you feel. If I let my parents know how I am feeling when they treat me like that they understand and try to deal with it, rather than me just staying quiet about it.
