Parent: Odd question about what your child wears to bed.

Unless you're sleeping in the same room as your children or endlessly checking on them there isn't anyway to know whether they're sleeping naked or not. They could go to bed with pj's and come out of their room in the morning with them on but in between who knows.

Personally I'd need to change the sheets much more often with naked sleeping.

I don't think any of my kids sleep naked (I don't keep tabs on my 20yo's sleepwear, so if he does I'm happily ignorant of it), but both of my girls tend to sleep in underwear and sports bras which isn't much more than naked if we're talking about running out of the house in the middle of the night. They both have robes on hooks right beside the bedroom door, but they're in an upstairs room and we don't have a/c so it makes sense to keep the clothing minimal on warm nights.

Okay.....
I am with Dan, in the recent episode of Roseanne..... (about the cross-dressing grandson)
"Okay, he can wear......(whatever)... but he has to wear underwear...."

I don't sleep in much... undies and a tank or cami.
Had just the opposite issue with my son...

Some people are actually nudist... And think that it is a good and natural thing for humans to want to go around nude. No covering for bare, sensitive, unsupported, parts.
I am NOT one of them.
I think that premise is just a big 'cover'. Sorry, but that's my take!

Ha - the zombie sleep picture is funny.

I'm okay with a newbie resurrecting a zombie thread if it seems clearly to not be "ad" related. lol

Could care less what my kids wear to bed as long as they are respectfully covered when they are out of their rooms. However, having a 14 year old boy who has recently asked for new pajama shorts I'm wondering if he should - always- be doing his own laundry or not. Some things I just don't wanna know.

Nope pajamas to bed. There rooms do get hot but they have fans, and ac for that. And they wear nightgowns it short sets to sleep.

My parents slept naked all my life. They put on clothes to leave their room, when there were guests, etc. and sleep in PJs only when sharing rooms with others. As children we were not allowed to walk into their room in the middle of the night, we were expected to knock and wait for an answer if we'd had a bad dream or didn't feel well, etc.

Just curious, to the one prev. poster just above... Why would your kids have to wear full PJs if it is hot?
I am remembering other threads where kids were expected to be over-dresses... (coats and mittens with temps in 40's, etc...)
This has nothing to do with being naked.
Why wouldn't anyone, kids included, be able to wear as much or little (undies are my only 'thing') to be comfortable and self-regulate their temperature?

I know this is an old thread but I have to say: Who cares what someone else where’s to bed! I could give a rats *** what any of my kids where to bed. They sleep with their doors closed and they can where as much or as little clothing as they want. They don’t run around the house naked because there is always a full house here and they are teens or almost teens so I doubt they would want to but what they are wearing in he privacy of their closed room is their business. For the record I don’t think any of them actually sleep naked but just underwear or boxers is common, which I know because I see boys coming and going from the bathroom in just boxers.
