Please help? I have a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 children) and we will be in the Orlando area 7/2/-7/12. We have reservations at the Days suites---but I'm going to have to change since I've been reading the board. Anyway, I have found info on the Parc Corniche--but I haven't been a very good shopper via brochures. Any help? The best rate I found for the two bedrooom suite was $95 a night during this time. Also, what about Sandy Lake Towers Suite and the two Comfort Suites Maingate East and Maingate? Any infor would help. Thanks!

My family and I stayed there in August 2000. We were pretty satisfied with the accomodations.

Pros:

1) Two bedrooms. We have two children who were 2 an 4 at the time. They shared a bedroom, and they had their own bathroom. I know that you will appreciate this. There is a sofa bed in the living room that sleeps two.

2) Laundry room. We did several loads of laundry while we were there. The laundry room only had two washers though.

3) Maid service was pretty good. They always gave us plenty of towels.

4) Kitchen. We had a full kitchen (minus an oven)So we tended to eat most of our meals there. We went grocery shopping when we got there.

5) Price. $92/nite!!

Cons:

1) We exited the parks everyday around 1:30 pm to take an afternoon break. Although the drive back to the hotel wasn't too bad (25-30 mins), the Parc Corniche is farther away than some of the more well known family suites, i.e. HIFS and the Caribe Royale.

IMHO, because of your family size, if you are definitely going to stay off-site, I would recommend that you rent a home. According to some of the posts on this site, some of the homes are approximately ten minutes away.

Good luck with your decision and have a great trip!

We stayed at the Parc Corniche and for the price it was great. There is a breakfast included and it is right on a golf course. The pool is small and nothing fancy. I don't know what your budget is, but check into the Sheraton Vistana Villages. We just got back from there and we had a huge 2 bedroom for 149.00 per night. Go thru hotelkingdom.com Since you are going in July you will probably get a cheaper rate. It is a gorgeous place if you can spend over 100/night. If not, the Parc Corniche will be fine. Good Luck
