What would be a good time for this? I want to do this, DD and DH are not doing it with me. I didn't know if I should wait until I get on the ship to book it. I can make my reservations tomorrow night- just trying to get this together.:goodvibes

We booked it on ship the day before we got to CC. We scheduled the 12:30 session. It was fun, but short.

Worth doing!

On our last two cruises, it sold out ahead of time. Perhaps you could get in by yourself with someone's last minute cancellation.

This was a great experience and I'd do it again. Very quiet and peaceful, and some great views.

We did the 2:30 spot...that way it didn't really interfere with our beach time on CC AND it gave us lots of time to digest our food (first time parasailing...not sure how the stomach was going to handle it :lmao: )

Then, when we were done, we just went back to the ship...since the day was almost over at CC anyway.

I absolutely LOVED it....it wasn't even scary (like I thought it would be). My only regret was that I didn't take a camera. :sad2:

Enjoy your cruise!!!!!

Thanks for the pics. I will probably book early- so I can make sure I can get a good time. I can book at 90days out- so I will do it tomorrow night. Thanks again all for your help!!:thumbsup2

I think I'm going to book around that time too.:thumbsup2

are you allowed to take a camera up there? or did you mean for someone to take a picture while you were up there?

You can take a camera with you. I used a disposable water camera, but have since purchased an waterproof digital that I would use next time.

As you don't get wet unless they "dip" you, one person in our group who went tandem with his daughter actually took a video camera with him. They dipped his feet and the camera stayed dry.

That is so cool! We went parasailing in Myrtle beach once, but both times we signed up for it at Castaway Cay, it was cancelled due to windy weather. Have a backup plan! We really loved the jetskis!

You should try the underwater digital camera! It was perfect for snorkeling!

We tried to do this twice and the wind didn't co operate and it got canceled twice. Had it set up for the morning both times. They try to do the afternoon ones if the wind dies down.

Booked on the ship. It was credited back to us on the ship.

My daughter will be 9 when we cruise and she really wants to go parasailing. Does anyone know the age requirement? How much does it cost?

Thanks!

Not sure of the age but my son was 10 last time. My Dh and son would have had to go together. It goes by weight too.

I will be taking my camera with me- I have the same one as in the picture above- in orange!! I love it- great investment for a picture fanatic like me. Although, my Canon Rebel would get some great shots from above, I won't risk it.

I love that!! :) My sister bought the orange one too! We got some great pictures in September when we did Snuba! I was so ecstatic with this because every time I spent $20 on a disposable and paid for developing, the photos came out really blurry and I was disappointed by them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that takes at least two cameras on vacation! LOL!

Your pictures came out great!:thumbsup2 We are considering doing Snuba on our July cruise when we go to Tortola. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Can you give any more details about it? Thanks!

Can anyone clarify the weight restriction? I parasailed tandem with DM in Sarasota Fl last year and it was a blast. I wanted DH and DD to go at CC but DD is 10yo but 72lbs so I didn't think she could go. Birnbaum guide states 90lb minimum. I planned on her going with DH. Can she go if they go together?:confused3
