Hi! I'm looking for some help on the best way to get from Paradiso37 to Port Orleans Riverside using Disney transportation. I'm not real familiar with Downtown Disney and it's layout.

We'll be staying at the Poly and plan to take taxis to Paradiso37 and from POR back to the Poly afterwards.

Thanks so much in advance!

The easiest way is to take a boat from DTD to POR. There is a boatdock close to Paradiso 37 but that does not go directly to POR (I think). The most direct way would be for you to walk from Paradiso 37 toward the Marketplace. The boat dock is located between Rainforest Cafe and Captain Jack's. (you can refer to a DTD map also when you get there) Go all the way back and go down the stairs, and you'll see the dock. You want to make sure you get on the boats going to POFQ/POR. It stops at POFQ first then onto POR. It's a really nice boat ride! Very scenic and relaxing too. Even prettier at night. I would make sure you give yourself at least 30-45 minutes time for the process though, sometimes you may have to wait for the boats depending on the time/crowds.

Alternately, you could take the bus as well, but it may not be any quicker. The buses stop at Marketplace, Pleasure Island (that would be the stop you would want to get on from Paradiso 37), then Typhoon Lagoon if its open, perhaps POFQ (sometimes they share) and then onto POR.

Hope that helps some!

Thanks so much, minniebeth!

Can anyone tell me how long it should take to walk from the restaurant to the marketplace?

Would catching a boat near the restaurant and changing boats at the Marketplace be an option? We'll have a four year old with us, and I haven't scheduled ADRs yet, so I can build in more transportation time if I need to. I'm just not sure how the boat system works around DTD.

Hmm...walking directly from Paradiso 37 to the Marketplace where the boat dock is I'm guessing would take about 10 minutes with a 4 year old? Depending how fast you can/want to walk.
I have to be truthful, I've never walked it without going into any type of store, lol! :goodvibes
If you have time, you could walk past T-Rex, the Lego Store and Rainforest, would always be fun.

Yes, you can take the boat from the dock right at Paradiso to the Marketplace! We've never seem to hit it right with the timing, so we always walk, but that is an option. Just make sure you get on the right boats. I know for sure they don't go to POFQ/POR from there but not sure if there are other resort boats (OKW, SSR) there. I think they just go between DTD points. They boat captains are helpful if you ask. I personally think you would save time by walking to the Marketplace boat dock, unless you hit it just right.

I wish I could give you more help with the timing, but WDW transportation is always so variable!

I appreciate the help. You told me everything I needed to know, and it sounds like it should be a fun and easy trip! Thanks again.

It sounds more confusing than it is, once you are there, you'll find your way around ok!
Have fun!
