We are so excited! We have never stayed on site before. Just across the street on South Harbor. We have a theme park view room. I still need to call and add preferences for higher floor level. It will be my husband, myself and our 2 1/2 year old daughter. She is too big to sleep in her pack and play anymore and sleeps in her toddler bed at home. I am thinking I would prefer her to sleep on a pull out couch than her own Queen bed as the couch is closer to the floor. Do both King and 2 Queen rooms come with a pull out couch? If so I would prefer one king bed and pull out couch and will make that preference knwoing that it is not a guarantee.

Both 2 Queen rooms and King Rooms have the pull out couch. There is also a roll away bed that is available upon request as well. I can't remember where I saw/heard it but there are not that many king rooms on the upper floors with a theme park view. Just wanted to add I love Paradise Pier and especially the theme park rooms.

I hope you have a wonderful trip--I'm pretty sure you'll love staying at the PPH--it's our favorite!

Just a note(not to be pessimistic or anything), it seems to be a bit difficult to get a King room--in all the times we've requested one, we've never once gotten one--we never made a big deal about it though, so maybe that's why)!

The two Queen rooms are nice though, so if you end up with one, you'll most likely be OK with it! The Theme Park views are lovely!

I booked a concierge level room for our upcoming trip in November. Do all concierge level rooms have theme park views? When I booked (via the official disneyland site), I didn't see anywhere where you could make a request, like you can with other hotels. Since this is mine and DH's first ever Disney trip (and our first vacation together after being married almost 4 and a half years!), I was hoping to request a room with theme park views so we could watch World of Color from our room.

Is this something I have to call reservations about, or is it possible to fax/make the request online? I have a bit of a talking on the phone phobia, so if there's an alternate way to make the request, I'm all ears.

I can totally relate to your phone phobia. I *think* all of the concierge rooms are theme park views, but even though you don't really want to, I would call. This is also a good time to let them know if you are celebrating anything. I just called DLH yesterday to let them know it's my birthday and that we would like to be in the Adventure Tower. The CM also inquired who my favorite character was. I wasn't on hold long at all, and the call lasted maybe five minutes.

Just remember, any request you make is just that, a request. On my last trip, I had requested a king room three times, and we got the two queens. Our first trip, we did have a king room, but I do think that because I was having a romantic themed In-Room-Celebration and it was our first anniversary, that played into it.

When we were staying there we had a park view room and I called to request a king size bed, I was told that there are not parkk view rooms with king size beds.

There are, so whoever you spoke to was wrong. Our first stay at PPH we had one on the 15th floor. We had room #1500.

Just back from a great week at Paradise Pier. We checked in around 7am to take advantage of EMH and it was easy. We were given key cards and they told us they would send a text when the room was ready.

The room was very clean (and I literally look in, around and under everything searching for bedbugs, lol). My kids loved the water slide, pool party and the bedtime princess stories on tv. The only negative was that the shower would alternate between cold and scalding, so I always ended up with a mostly cold shower. Otherwise, it was a great trip and I would stay at the PP again!

We finally committed to PP on the Orbitz/Ebates deal! Just a standard room though.

Are there rooms in that category that are preferable?

PPH is our favorite of the 3 DLR hotels too! View rooms are AMAZING!!! Love watching WOC from the room with the music on the TV. And what a view to wake up to! My son has slept on the pull ouch couch since he was 3. It's a lot lower to the ground-and he has a tendency to fall out of bed, so it works well. He has fallen out of it before, but we just put extra pillows on the ground for him. He loves having his own little bed =)

I think the pool rooms (cabana rooms?) are concierge as well, but don't quote me on that. I would totally call and make sure you get a view room with concierge.

As for the phone - It's not that I'm shy per se, I just have a little anxiety about talking on the phone to ppl I don't know.

Our last trip, July 2012, this is our view from room 1408 (Yes, like the movie, my DH was amused by that.) This room had two queens.

You can see if you look really closely the eave in the upper right corner. This one was taken with my cell-phone.

Most likely, but be sure to check back daily--things can change.

Also, if something(room type/date) isn't available on the calendar, call direct, because sometimes that can make the difference(not always, but occasionally)!
