We check in to the PPH on Sunday. We booked a Standard Room for 4 days and then a Concierge Standard Room on the 5th day. I've been reading about how you can possibly get upgraded to an Upper Level Theme Park room for free but how do I try and make this happen? Also, is there any chance they would give us a Concierge room for the entire week? Thanks for your help!

We didn't do or ask anything. We just showed up and upon check in they told us we were "Family of the Day"- they gave us balloons, an autographed picture of Mickey Mouse in front of the castle, and the room upgrade. Don't know why or how we were chosen, or if it was preplanned (I think it might have been because our check in/check out dates were on the envelope with the picture). I don't know how many "Family of the Day" they have each day- we saw quite a few people with the same balloons.

Anyway- we thought it was really nice and we were so surprised and didn't expect it at all. We paid for the standard room, so fully expected the standard room. I am not sure there is anything you can do to get it, though- and it is certainly magical to just be presented with it :lovestruc

Our usual approach is to ask "how much would it cost us to upgrade to a [fill in the blank] room?". Some times the answer is "free" sometimes is a reasonable amount. Sometimes nothing's available.
