When I did a search for this, I came up empty! Opinions? We stayed at CCI last time and loved it, especially for the $. We are trying to decide if it's worth it for 2 adults to stay onsite instead.

We have stayed at both the CCI and the PP. We actually prefer the CCI. Why? Because of the shuttle, breakfast and price.

When you stayed at the CCI did you walk back and forth or use the shuttle? The walking distance to the PP is about the same if you but through the GC, a little longer if you walk through dtd and to the back side of the PP (like they recomend you do).

Dont get me wrong, the PP is a very nice hotel. Its got large rooms, the view of DCA is very fun, the staff is very nice- but for the price difference and the amount of time we spend in our room it isnt worth it to us.

We really like it, but I only stay there if I can get it for $120 a night or under. The two times I have stayed it was $89 and I felt I really got my money's worth for staying onsite. We like the beachy feel, and had a great view of Paradise Pier area too, but like hlbtimes2, we have a price limit that we are willing to pay for that hotel!

If it was just DH and I, we would probably choose CCI.

But with our kids, it's the PP for us! Our kids used that pool and waterslide 3-4 hours per day during our last trip, so the extra expense was VERY WORTH IT!

However, we did get a good rate of $135 per night.:cool1:

Thats a toughie. I really like PP but if just my husband and I were going would probably go with the CCI and save some money. I agree with another poster that one of the main draws of PP is the pool slide and I doubt just you and your husband will use that much! Also, if you stay at CCI and save some money, you will have more money for nice meals which is an aspect of Disneyland you might not do with the kids! I love PP and love to stay onsite but like Matterhorn only pick that hotel if I can save big bucks over the DLH. I think you cannot go wrong with either however so if you don't mind the extra $$ of the PP and won't have to cut down on other things that might be nice. But pay the extra for the theme park view, its specatucular and worth the money (which isn't that much of an upgrade money wise).

Also forgot to mention that Disney super mom is right, the only thing PP offers that you won't get at CCI is possible early entry while there (depending on days) and the pool area is much better. The few times we stayed there was not swimming weather so we didn't get to use it, but it looks fun. So unless the pool is a big factor for you two youngins, I would choose CCI and save some money!

We loved PP, got a great rate of $129/night. There, to me, is just something special about staying on site. Also, the walk isn't bad at all. Just cross the street, go thru the Grand Californian and you are in Downtown Disney. And from there it's probably a 2 min walk to DL and CA. I loved the room, thought it was cozy. To us, Early Entry is very important, and that weighed very heavily on our decision (along with the Disney toiletries we are still enjoying!)

:wizard: We are really excited! We are staying concearge this time around, only 1 night, to see if its worth the extra $$. Good rate though, otherwise, we would never do it!:thumbsup2

It was an AP rate that ran through Feb 15. I was lucky enough to get a DTD view at DLH for $159 a night. Well worth the $. Probably won't pop up again for a while but I did get an AP rate last summer at GCH for $219 a night. Standard rate was twice that at the time.

I really loved the PPH when I stayed in December. The advantage to me is never having to leave the "Disney Magic" when I leave the parks. Seeing the street with cars somehow makes me feel as if the spell has been broken. Having said that, I originally planned to stay off site but also found a great price (one night free) so ended up at PPH. I was so glad I did but if it was off-site or nothing???? Off site will work!
