Been following UKDeb's thread re Spectromagic. Looked up Easter schedule. There's a variety of things happening daily but doesn't say where. Have flicked thru Brit's Guide and worked out some. Can anyone out there help with the rest

Fantasy in the Sky - MK
Share a Dream Come True Parade - ?? where
Spectromagic - MK
Tapesty of Dreams - ?? where
Illuminations - Epcot
Disney Stars & Motor Cars - ??where
Fantasmic - MGM

There's an hour between Spectromagic and Fantasy in the Sky - can the firework spectacle be seen from pretty much any location in the park (i.e. do we need to worry about rushing from one location to the next within MK?) Its our first trip so pretty clueless really!

I don't anticipate spending too much time standing waiting for parades etc when we can be doing other things, so may well give some a miss (or have I said the unthinkable now!).

Tapestry of dreams is in Epcot, the parade goes round the park you can catch it most places in the world showcase, it will say on the map you get when you go in where it starts and finishes

don't miss illuminations it's really worth watching

Stars and motor cars is at MGM, don't know what it's like haven't seen it yet, its a new parade put on as part of the 100year celebration

dreams come true is the new parade on at MK,based around the characters in snow globes, supposed to be very good

You can see the fireworks from nearly everywhere in the Mk,if you want to see Tinkerbell fly from the castle then main street is the place to do it, otherwise MickeysToontown fair is a great place to see them as they are let off from Mickeys back yard and there's not the crowds like main street

hope this helps

....... Hi Janet :) Bovril has covered the locations.
I would suggest watching Fantasy In The Sky from either Fantasyland by the Teacups, Liberty Square by the stocks - you can see Tinkerbelle light up the Castle from there too or there is a wooden bridge in Frontierland , crossing a small area of the lagoon in front of Splash Mountain where you can also get a great view of the fireworks but not Tinkerbelle.
Fantasy In The Sky sometimes follows shortly after Spectromagic and so Main Street gets very busy very ealry with people lining up to see Spectro - it is often easier to go to Frontierland/Liberty Square to get a good view of both - if you see Spectro forward from the Country Bear Jamboree, you only have a few yards to walk up to the stocks in Liberty Square to watch the fireworks.

:D thanks Bovril and Shirley for your v.helpful info - I'll print it off & take it with us.

I think you're off soon aren't you Bovril - if so, have a super time! I'll not be far behind!!

Janet :)

also, don't forget there is a new parade at Animal Kingdom too.....

Mickey's Jammin' Jungle parade @ 4pm daily

Another quick tip: if your'e going to do Fantasmic (and it really is a MUST ) you need to get there an hour early as it really fills up quickly. If you don't like waiting (who does) stake out your places and then leave someone behind while you go off to do ToT or get drinks/snacks etc.

I have to say, out of all the new parades, Mickey's Jungle Jammin Parade was the one that impressed me most.

I know a lot of people rave about the Snowglobes Parade but I though it was a) too short and b) a little impersonal with the key characters being enclosed like that - very pretty though!

The Jungle Jammin Parade is much more interative parade, which shades of Tapestry of Nations...lots of giant puppet animals which interact with the crowd and with lots of good fun music - a very very upbeat and partyish atmosphere, and that won me over :) A BIG tip here, pick a spot to watch the parade (you don't have to worry about your spot anywhere near as early as say a MK one, it happens late in the AK day and many people have left the park - 15-20 and you can still get PRIME positions) is to watch it somewhere on the route where you can only stand on one side of the parade. For instance we watched it from the bridge coming out of Harambe (near the start of the parade) - you can only stand on one side of the bridge as there isn't enough room to have people on both sides. What does that mean? It means you have the full attention of all the characters looking your way - being an adult without kids we very rarely get attention from characters in a parade... I lost count of the amount of people and characters who made eye contact, waved directly at me, posed for pictures, including the most in demand guy...Yes, I have Mickey saluting ME, directly, in a photo (I really MUST post some of those piccies, I have a zillion of this parade!)

This parade is well worth making the effort to go to if you can.

Penny :)
