parade taping and annual pass holder

I am thinking of taking a ride to the Magic Kingdom on Saturday for the parade taping. I am a bit unclear, so for all of you who have done this thanks for the input.

I am an annual pass holder and I have read that you can go to the taping with your pass and you don't need a voucher. Can someone tell me what to expect? Do they rope off certain areas, if so where? I really don't care about being on tv, but I would like to observe, is that possible? I also read somewhere that listed the times and who would be in the parade. If you have this info could you please post and give me your experiences!

From reading the site with the extras casting, I get from it that they said if you have an annual pass you will still be able to get into the Magic Kingdom that day... as would people who have tickets. I think they were saying that you'll still be able to get into the park to enjoy Disney as usual even if you aren't an extra for the parade. At least that's what I got from it? Anyone else?

Anyone can stand and participate in the taping. They encourage people to join in. Being an extra gets you admission into the park and free parking. As an AP holder you already have that.

They are lined up along Main St. and around the hub or other areas depending on where they are filming.

Be prepared it is a lot of standing and waiting. Then when the float comes down you do a lot of screaming and clapping.

It is fun. I would have done it this year but will be out of town.

Just be prepared that Main St. is pretty congested.

Do you have any idea what time the tapings take place? We live about 3 hrs south of disney and I wanted to make sure I was there in time. What types of things did you see at the parade? Thanks!

You could get there at any time until about 4-5 PM. You may see the same float from a parade for 30 mins or more. You don't see the entire parade. You may see the headline acts performing and Regis and Kelly.
