Just had some questions concerning the parades as I have never been a parade person and don’t know the best strategy.

1. For both FOF and MSEP, where is the best place to view the parade with the least amount of waiting beforehand? I will have my 2 year old daughter and sitting around for hours for a parade to start won’t exactly work with her.

2. If we end up being 1 or 2 rows back behind other people, is it frowned upon if my husband puts our 2 year old daughter on his shoulders?

3. After the MSEP is completed, where is the best place to view wishes? How soon after the parade finishes does wishes begin?

Thanks in advance!

3b. How soon after the parade finishes does wishes begin?

1. A look at the MK Parade Route-
Disney's (MS) Electrical Parade starts near the Firehouse and exits near Splash Mtn.
The New 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) and both the MVMCP and MNSSHP parades start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents,
or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.
(But, from there you won't be able to see the new "show" that is actually projected on the front of the Castle,
"Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)

2. If you are not blocking anyone behind you, there's no problem.

3b. That depends on where you stand along the parade route.
The fireworks start at the top of the next hour, but "Celebrate the Magic" (Castle projection show)
starts 15 minutes before the fireworks.

3a. You want to be able to see the new "show" that is actually projected on the front of the Castle,
"Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the Wishes.

Below is a rough estimate of the Fireworks viewing spots
based on other posters' info on the boards and personal experience.

I've only seen the light parades so far but I find the best spot to watch with little wait is in frontierland. Along the side where the country bear jamboree is and the shooting gallery. We alway stake out a spot about 15 minutes before a show starts and we are always able to see everything.

As far as your daughter on your shoulders I don't see a problem with this if no one is behind you or you start out with the daughter on your shoulders way before the show starts. That way people who are looking for spots behind you will know that it's going to be tough to see if they decide to stand there. I think it's very rude to put a kid on shoulders after the show starts and the person behind you has no where to go and must stand to look at nothing for 20 minutes.

Thanks Robo. Just a couple of follow up questions.

For FOF,
1. If I wanted to view the parade from either near Hall of Presidents, or near Country Bear Jamboree, what time could I expect the parade to reach my locations?
2. If I choose either of those two locations, what time should I stake out my spot?

As for MSEP,
1. So if I want to watch MSEP, Celebrate the Magic, and Wishes, it seems as though the best place to view all 3 would be the hub, correct?
2. If so, what time would I need to stake out a spot?

I will be visiting on May 13.

*bump*

Just wondering if anyone had any insight on my most recent parade questions?

Thanks!

1. FoF will reach your location between 5-10 minutes after step-off.

2. You should at least take a look 90 minutes before to see what the area looks like... and then gauge when you may need to return to get seated.
