Parade Changes Confirmed and possible Einstein Characters at AK

Yeah I know it doesn't make much sense but its what the rumor at work is at the moment. Considering that they are being moved out of DHS to make way for Jake I do find it somewhat credible.

Rumor location is the Discovery Island area.

Apparently changing the parade at Animal Kingdom so it will start at Pizzafari is also very much in the works.

Can't imagine that Little Einstein characters are going to be anywhere. The show is hardly on the air anymore (if at all). Why would they go to Animal Kingdom? That makes no sense.

And how on earth would the parade start at Pizzafari? There's no entrance from backstage. Unless you are talking about where Lilo and Stich greet - but I wouldn't see them looping the parade floats all around the backstage that way.

Actually the parade can easily step off at Pizzafari. There is a large double gate just to the side of it before the baby center, Its also currently used as a emergency step down location for floats, performers and abandoning the parade due to weather.

As of today I can confirm that is indeed the case, the parade will start and finish at the pizzafari exit. Look for the change within the next 4 - 5 weeks.

I agree with the Einstein characters not being a fit at Animal Kingdom at all. Heck I can think of several characters that do not fit at Animal Kingdom that currently appear so that doesn't appear to be too much of a factor.

My kids have outgrown the Playhouse Disney routine but I did a TV listing search just to satisfy my curiosity. Looks like the show is on quite a bit. Most weekdays it's showing up at 7am, 10am and 10:30am eastern.

Don't know if that's a recent programming change or not. If so, it could explain throwing the characters into the parks again.

Additionally Disney is preparing to transition Soapnet to Disney Junior in January. A 24/7 cable channel dedicated to those Playhouse Disney programs would seem to open the door for some of the oldies to return to heavy rotation. Einsteins could be showing 30-40x per week come 2012.

As for the characters being at DAK, I don't get that one either. Maybe someone got them mixed up with Stanley.

The show is on frequently... my daughter loves it. My guess is that it's a cheap way to "Upgrade" the parade.

Hmmmm...I had only seen it on at 7 AM, but we did outgrow the channel anyways, at least in the morning. The Disney Junior channel does allow oppurtunity to continue the show as well.

Hah, Stanley. We met HIM at AK our first trip. But he sort of makes sense, as his adventures were all based around animals. I think most characters at AK make sense - either core characters (Fab 5 and the Pooh family) or animals themselves(Meeko, Baloo, Flik, Rafiki, Turk..etc). Lilo and Stitch never did makes sense to me though.

Looks like Einsteins are out and possibly a test for the old Up Characters "might" be in the works.
