Parade and firework hacks

Going to MNSSHP and I want to avoid main street. Any good low key locations for either?

Fireworks are impressive to watch from behind the castle. It's a completely different experience and you do not see any of the projections on the castle so I never suggest that location for the only time you have to watch them. But if you are ok with missing the stuff on the castle then watching them from the back is unlike nothing else. It puts you smack in the middle of the fireworks with them going off around you in 360°. I just happened to be back there as they began on one trip and it was so incredible we now make a point to watch them back there each trip.

I agree with this. If it's your first viewing, don't stand behind the castle. But, it is a really, really neat way to view them. You're incredibly close, and you see the other parts of the park lit up from the colors. Quite a sight! And it won't be very crowded back there either, so you should be alright for standing room. You get a bit of smoke back that way, but nothing terrible.

It's great but very loud!

Good point, the noise is very amplified back there. You are so close to the launch points. And I've gotten a bit of ash fall out, nothing that burned or anything. Just sprinkled with debris.
