So I didn’t even mean to do this but maybe it will work in our favor..

I made lunch reservations at carnation cafe for 12:40. The holiday parade is at 1. Can we see if from the cafe? Is there outdoor seating we can request ahead of time?

Or is it going to be a mad house there..

That's my picture over on the other thread. You can KINDA see it going by. You can definitely hear the music. It's really better at night as the floats are all lit up. Not sure what you'll be able to see during the day. Come back and post pics is you're able to grab some.

We had a CC reservation and were seated outside in the little pergola on the corner right up front.
As the parade went by you could see some but not all. People lingering on the sidewalk blocked much of the view.
The high portion of the parade was easy to see.

I hadn't planned it and it was a nice surprise.

In my experience people who sit outside who have earlier reservations tend to order some desert and more drinks to stay a while longer for the parade. I've ate outside during the parade in the past and honestly you can't see much of it due to the mass of people in between you and the parade at Carnation. Outdoor seating at Jolly Holiday or Plaza Inn often gives you a better view.

So I’m wondering if it’s worth being in the area then? I booked carnation cafe after hearing good things about it, but I’m sure there is another place we could try!

CC is one of our favorite places to eat. Love the Baked Potato Soup!!

So we decided to stick with carnation cafe but eat earlier and then grab a parade spot!
