Para Sailing/Cruise Excursion?

We loved parasailing at Castaway Cay, it was beautiful.

They will give you a time to meet at the dock and you'll be on a boat with a total of 10-12 people. Typically you ride tandem and you spend about 10-15 minutes total in the air, including going up and coming back to the boat.

Unfortunately this excursion does get cancelled often because of high winds. I do highly recommend it.

Thanks so much! This is exactly the location our grandson was wishing for since seeing commercials aired here in Canada. I wasn't aware it could be done at Castaway, and wasn't keen on another location.

Don't chicken out! I'm super scared of heights, (can't even get on the roof of my 1 story house), and loved it. It really was amazing!

Per person, although both times I've done it I've been tandem.

Two things:
1) Don't forget cash if you like tip-these guys are contractors so you have paid them but some people like me are compulsive overtippers-I forgot the
first time and fortunately it was early in the day so ran back to the ship and got more cash

2) If you wear glasses or sunglasses consider one of those strappy things to hold them on your head. I just wear cheap sunglasses in case I lose mine (never have) but DD missed seeing things her first time b/c she didn't want to lose her glasses so it was just 10 min (or so) of blue blur.

I hate heights and have enjoyed it twice. My mother has done it once at age 62.

Hello! I was one of the earlier posters on this thread.....just wanted to give my review of parasailing at Castaway!!

I didn't chicken out and it was FABULOUS!!! So glad that I did it. It is a feeling of peacefulness that just can't be described until you experience it. My DD and I went tandem. I could not believe how it was not windy at all when you were up that high and how quiet and serene it was! We were fortunate to have a picture perfect day at Castaway....sailing above the Fantasy was incredible (it looked so small). The workers on the boat were wonderful. If you are on the fence about doing this, JUST DO IT!!! You will not be sorry. Only wish they kept you up there a bit longer!!

Glad you enjoyed it! I was also surprised that it was so serene up there. I went tandem with my teen son and it was a great experience, we had some fun conversations up there.

Excellent point...they can't escape Even better than the car, albeit a little more expensive
