Paper Piecing Tutorial

Thanks for the tutorial!! It's great, Queenie, and Pooh is ADORABLE!! :)

Thanks Queenie! Another one here who doesn't want to pay out the $700 plus (yes, thats what cricut costs here!) , never mind cards. I also use all my scraps of paper - i even have a folder full for serendipity squares!

Next time you UK folks are in the states, have a cricut shipped to your hotel. With the way the dollar is falling you will be getting it really cheap!
As for doing it by hand, I don't think i could do it. Pooh, yes, and the little green men, yes, but the Princesses not so much. I get frustrated with all the little pieces when cricut cuts them out for me! Did I mention I was a wee bit impatient?:rolleyes1

I'm trying my first piecings too, so great timing on the thread. This was very informative and easy to follow - thanks! :thumbsup2

Awesome tutorial Queenie! I've never been brave enough to try a paper piecing but after reading what you wrote, I think I'm ready. :)

Awesome instructions, Queenie. Thanks so much for taking the time to put that tutorial together. Pooh is adorable - great job!

I don't have the editing software so bare bones technics are good for me.

First of all Queenie this is amazing and I can't wait until my hand stops hurting (I don't know what I did to it) so I can try it!

But as far as editing software I can contribute here....if you don't have any and are on windows (sorry Mac girls - I'm not sure where this is), you can hit the print screen key or ctrl and print screen key which will copy your image exactly as it is onto the computer's clipboard. Then open up paint - it's under programs - accessories - paint and paste. You can then use the cropping tool to crop out what you need and then you can paste all of this into word or somewhere to print on a particular size sheet of paper of the same color.

Please let me know if this doesn't make sense and I'll do screen shots and put them in.

Wonderful tutorial!

Does anyone ever do paper piecing using a light box?

I know it takes longer, but our printer gets fiddly sometimes. It is just easier to trace the pictures by hand than reset the printer.
