Hey Ya'll :wave2:

Welcome to challenge number 26! Sorry it took me a couple of days to get it up and running. This is going to be a pretty basic one. I have chosen a basic grey sketch to get us started...

As always with sketches let it be your guide, but do not be a slave to it.

In addition to the sketch, your layout must include something that you have bought and wanted to use, but sadly has not been used and is now just taking up space. I think we all have those tools, stickers, papers that were too cute or nifty to pass up, but now they are just sitting on the craft table. Dust those bad boys off and put them to good use. :thumbsup2 (When posting your layout please mention what it was that you included from your stash.)

This challenge will run until 8pm 8/26. I will have a prize for the winner, but I have not selected it yet. :rolleyes1

Happy Scrapping! pixiedust:
As listed in the title this challenge is extended until Sunday 8/30. Get those layouts in! :goodvibes

Perfect! I'm working on a layout with three photos on a page and this map will work for it. As for something I've been holding on to - there is this one piece of 12x12 paper I bought specifically for 50s Prime Time Cafe. I'm finally working on that LO and must figure out how to incorporate one sheet on a two page spread, along with some new paper that I just adore and works nicely with my pics.

Ooohhh. I like this sketch! Let me see what I can come up with before we leave on Sunday.

I am glad I picked a good one! :yay: I am sending my pics to the printer today, so I hope to have an example up for you by tomorrow.

I like this challenge.

I have one of those Making Memories Tag makers. It is still in it's clam shell. I think I will try to find a way to use it for this challenge.

This was such a great (easy) sketch to work with, and like I said, I was already planning layouts with 3 pics on a page. The background paper is new, but the 1950's I've probably had for three years, since before going on this trip. Oh, and the tag. I've had them forever and usually end up with something dorky, but I'm pleased with this use of the tag.

Cute LO! The 50's paper is great! :hippie:

Here is my page. The lighting is really bad...I did not realize that until after I uploaded it.

DS's LI is a pain, but I am glad I could make a fun page with it. The items in the LO that I have wanted to use are the red paper (which I originally bought for a pirates LO) and the drippy goo punch. I am loving that punch!

I love sketches! You ladies did a great job with your layouts.

jacksmomma, I think it is good to scrap the good and the challenges in our lives. Hope you little guy outgrows the LI. Poor thing.

great layouts!

love the drippy goo. good for you for using it! and good for you for scrapping about your ds LI. i take pics of bubba's hospital adventures for his asthma. i have not scrapped them, but i do have the pics.
you should see the looks i get sometimes!:scared1:

Hey! You have some explainin' to do missy!
You were here in indiana at the state fair and you didn't call! What are you thinkin'? We live about a 40 minute drive away w/ traffic!!
I looked at the barn and said.. I know that place!!! WE love their milkshakes..and the bonus to the dairy barn is that schools, organizations, sports teams can work it and receive $$ for their program.... So sorry little man is LI...but at least you can say you followed drs. orders and tried...

Great job jacksmomma!

Po3- I have taken pics of both my boys in the hospital. DS1 was there 3-4 days when he was 2 months old, and no one saw me taking the pics. DS2, however, had Craniosynostosis (premature closure of one or more of the sutures (soft spot) in the skull). He had a 6-hour skull surgery at 18 months old that left him in the hospital for 5 days. His poor face was so badly bruised and swollen, he looked like a little alien; he was unrecognizable, except to us. I almost felt bad for taking the pics at the time, but now I'm so glad I did. I made a small scrapbook out of it, and he loves to look at it and "remember" what happened to him. I kept a journal on the computer while we were there, and I copied it all to the album; my feelings about the plastic surgeon were covered up later by a piece of cardstock, but I still know it's there. The last pics are those at his 3-year post-op checkup with his surgeons, and he looks perfect. I've also used it twice to talk with other parents who are getting ready to face the same thing. It makes me grateful to look at it and remember what we went through, compared to what we have today. We have been blessed!

That is such a great idea to share it with other families! So many times you do not know what to expect...good for you! :goodvibes

So far I only have 1 participant and this challenge is supposed to end tomorrow! :scared1: Should I extend it? Whould that help motivate a few others to get their pages in? :confused3

If you could extend it that would be great. I am away and will be home tomorrow. I could get something done by the weekend. Maybe give it till Sunday? We've been so busy I haven't done much scrapping lately.
