I'm doing a layout on home improvements we've done over the years....sort of a "before and after." Well, I've realized that I can't possibly fit all of these on less than 5 pages unless I "stack" them....have the before picture on the top, and lift that for the after picture...

but what should I use for a hinge? I don't want the metal hinges, but I am not sure if cardstock would hold up with all of the repeated lifting and such that would be involved.

Ideas anyone?

Of course, I just got a sinking feeling that this won't work b/c of the page protectors I usually use.....hmmmm...

there are a few things that you could use...there is an adorable qk die with tiny hinges, but those i'm sure aren't functional.

there are photo flip things that you can put in multiple pictures that you just adhere right onto the page protector. however i don't know where to get them, but do know they exist.

you could use book binding tape...that is what they used on a page this weekend, it looked really cool. you just tape the first page, then for stability you can do the underside as well.

or you can make a little mini book and just either attatch it to the page protector, or make a slit in it so it is still accesible.

Lil Davis has a line of paper hinges that I have tried, and they come in lots of different colors.

I always use page protectors but have used a scalpal like blade to cut the page protectors to allow access to my hidden journaling, etc...

Hope this helps...

What if you used say a 4 x 12 inch piece of paper, fold it like a card on the horizontal, place your new photo on the front, your old inside. Then mount the back of the card to the page. Then cut a slit in your page protector and pull the front of the card through the slit. This allows you to open and close the pics at will.

Also I know that framing stores have little white hinges for photos that we do not want to adhere the mats to. Check your local store and tell them you need acid free, white hinge tape and see if they have anything that would help. Wish I could remember the name of it. Sorry. The only thing is with this product you need to wet it to adhere it, this would only work if you were very very careful.
