Hi. I booked my reservation online at the WDW website and printed out the confirmation. Put my credit card info in and deposit has been made on my credit card. But I still have not received a paper confirmation in the mail. I booked on April 12th. I'm getting nervous about this. Anyone else book their room online and have the same problem. Didn't get anything in the mail today either. Should I be worried? I did check the website again and put in my reservation number and it shows up as being booked. Also called CRO and gave info and they see the reservation. How long before I'll get written confirmation in the mail?

I have had it take as long as two weeks, you should be getting one soon. If you don't get it by the end of this month, call CRO and ask them to please send you a confirmation letter. They are probably really busy this time of year, sooo many people are trying to plan the perfect summer vacation. I'm sure the paper work gets backed up. Have a great trip!!

I have noticed that in the past year or so, Disney has become very slow with sending confirmations in the mail. Lately they have been slow, and then they send tons of papers that I don't need. One confiramtion is enough, and I usually get at least three.

I made my reservation with WDW online on April 7, and I haven't yet received a paper confirmation either. I'm comforted to hear that it's not just me!

I live overseas (New Zealand - 24 hours by plane to WDW) and not only did my initial Boardwalk and Wilderness Lodge booking arrive in less than two weeks but they arrived together in separate envelopes!

Exceptionally fast!
(I love receiving those yellow envelopes!)

Even my initial concierge booking at Paradise Pier (disneyland) took 5 days to get here.

I'd ring although they do say up to two weeks ...

Legend -

Did you book online or over the phone? I booked through the website and wondering if this is why it's taking so long. Maybe I'll get something in today's mail.

For my WDW leg, Im going through my tour companys travel agent. All our correspondance have been by e-mail to Orlando agent who are making our arrangements on our behalf.

For the DLR leg, I phoned first DLR reservations then switched to WDTC via Disney Club.

You're right, web bookings maybe the reason its taking so long. Ive never used the web for Disney so not surehow that works. My advise is to ring the appropriate party (CRO or WDTC) and ask for another confirmation.

I don't think paper confirmations are generated by every reservation, so if you feel better having one in hand, call CRO and ask them to send you one.

We have our reservations booked, but I was able to get a better rate on part of it. I received a statement saying that I owed the deposit on the new rate (when I had already sent in the deposit).
When I called, they told me the deposit had been transferred and everything was in order, and that not all changes generated a paper mail confirmation. :)

Cindala,

do you have two different rates at your resort now? If so, then you have two reservations. When you got the better rate for part of it, they should have made a separate reservation for that. both reservations need a deposit. I would make sure that they didn't take the deposit from the reservation with the high rate and apply it to the lower rate reservation and then cancel the high rate reservation.

I hope this makes sense. I just thought of this as I was reading your post and I thought i should mention it. I wouldn't want your vacation to get ruined.

When you book online, you pay your deposit immediately. That's why they probably take longer to mail you one. When you book from CRO, you can pay your deposit at a later time. Therefore, you need that confirmation in the mail. This is only my theory, of course.:) BTW, I booked online on the 16th and have received nothing in the mail yet.:)

schwaa,
Yes, I have two reservations, and sent in two deposits because our stay starts in the regular season, and goes into the value season. We've had to make two reservations for years!

When I called to confirm, they quoted me the deposit amount that I had originally sent in on the ressie, so I know they transferred the correct one. (Each deposit is a different amount.)

Thanks for your concern though!:) It is very easy to get confused, and have a reservation get lost on you! And that could definitely ruin a vacation!!!:(

I'm gald you're all set. I mentioned just in case you didn't know.:D :D :D

Well it's been over two weeks. It's 4/27 and still no confirmation in the mail. Anyone else book online and receive a confirmation in the mail?

... you havent received anything yet.

I changed my ressies from BWI to AKL and booked the fall getaway package at DLR LAST WEEKEND and I received both confirmations from Anahiem and WDW in the mail today ... and Im half a WORLD away!

Id be a tad nervous right about now ... me thinks its time to ring, not only for your peace of mind but to put the rest of us out of our miseries!

I have a question. Wouldn't you get a paper confirmation when you print out the confirmation on the screen. I would think that maybe they won't send out a confirmation since you have it on the screen in front of you. Just a thought.

Don't expect one if you booked online. I changed my ressies over to CRO. I can never get a straight answer from the WDTC about online ressies.

Barbnbrian: Did you ever get a confirmation by snail mail? I still haven't received anything either. I'm not too nervous, as I printed out the confirmation from the Website once I'd booked, plus the charges have come through on my credit card. Still, it'd be nice to know if I should, indeed, be expecting something in the mail.

[I love these little boingers!]

When/if you do get your paper confirmation, make sure to check it thoroughly. I just made another slight change in my rate, and they sent me a new confirmation. However, they now just put down 2 adults, and left off the 2 juniors. This seems to be a common mistake on their part.

Now I have to make yet another phone call to make sure they have the four of us on the ressie, so we don't wind up with a king bed! :):D:)
