PAP Renewals AGAIN

OK, I haven't read this board in a while, so maybe I missed this. We have PAPs that expire May 23. It was my understanding from this board (and from calling Universal previously) that I could renew them by June 23 at the $106 rate, and they would kick in the next time we visit. In other words, we are planning to go for a couple of days in August, so our new expiration date would be a year from August. Which would work, since we are planning a longer trip next June.

I called today to renew and was told that no, our expiration date stays the same, and the renewal would expire May 23, 2005. Just like Disney. So when did this happen? Just wondering by how much I missed renewing for the time frame I needed.

This is a new policy that just started (I think it was as of Jan. 1). The renewal I paid was $99 plus tax.

I also think it started this past Jan.... sooner or later I had a feeling that they were going to do what Disney did.... Disney's wasn't always that way ...they had the no experation also up to about 3 years ago...
