We took a quick trip over the weekend and noticed a new trend I have not seen before.

We were at American Adventure on Saturday and saw two brothers about 5 and 7 with no pants on just underwear, and it struck me that I didn't think I ever saw that before.

We went to MK for Spectro and a 2 yr old boy with his family along side of us had no pants on just a diaper. (We also got the privilege of a diaper change on Main Street)

Sunday we did MK for the day and I thought maybe its just a boy thing, but before the 3:00 parade I saw a girl around 6 with her parents getting a balloon on Main Street and guess what no pants.

Maybe with people not checking in luggage and doing carry-ons they don't have enough room for their kids pants.

I have gone in August a few times and I know it is unbearable with the heat and humidity but this weekend it was just warm, maybe I just didn't notice before but was wondering is this a new trend like people wearing pajamas in public?

maybe it's some sort of honor to Donald that we weren't make aware of. Pantsless Donald Tuesday's or something like that?!?!:donald:

I don't know about Disney World but I didn't even let my kids run around like that in our home. Never mind anywhere else.

yeah, that's just wrong on so many levels. I can understand if your child has an accident, but it's not like you can't BUY PANTS in WDW !!! I can't imagine they'd let kids in w/o pants...they must have shucked them in the park. :scared1:

I seriously hope it's not a trend.... I still don't get the "pants down around your butt w/ your underwear showing" trend...... we saw a guy the other day w/ this fabulous look....he actually bent over. yes, a grown man. and all we saw was underwear....not exactly what I wanted to see at lunch, but at least the full moon wasn't out.

Note to all.....keep your kids pants on! it's a family joint !! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I guess technically it isn't prohibited to run around in your underoos:

From Disney's website:
Proper dress is required at all Disney Theme Parks. Shirt and shoes must be worn at all times. At the Disney Water Parks, swim attire with rivets, buckles or exposed metal is not permitted on the attractions. Wetsuits are not permitted on body slides.

The kid with the diaper is slightly understandable - maybe he made a mess and they didn't have another change of shorts with them, but that's the top limit for me. If a child is old enough to wear underwear, he or she should be covering up that underwear with pants/shorts/skirts, etc. Nobody needs to see a child's underwear.

Haha...

We just had an incident at work (a public building) where someone from the public came in without shoes and was angry that he was asked to leave. We quickly amended our policy to explicitly require a shirt and shoes. I had a hand in the final approval of the policy, and made sure to edit it to cover pants (or other appropriate bottoms) as well. You never know!

I Wear No Pants!

Pajamas, wearing bras and no shirts, no pants... What's next?

Accidents do happen and maybe they were able to dry the undies in the bathroom but not the shorts!

Some people go to Disney with a very strict budget and a pair of $15 shorts just isn't included.:scared1:

The fact that you saw 4 small children out of thousands of people across Disney is a mere fraction and I doubt it is any thing new.

So glad we are all made up of different stuff, I would hate to sit next to me all the time:dance3:

We met this couple that had their 6 year old daughter running around CBR topless after she went swimming. I thought that was a little old to be doing that. Two seems the cutoff for that kind of thing.

Unbelievable. No wonder there is that "People of the Park" website.

I just don;t understand it. I always make sure that I and my kids are wearing our best/favorite clothes. We are going to be in tons of photos and looking back at them for years. I want to look my best.

Age 2 and under wearing a diaper with no pants is fine in my book, but the older kids with no pants, well I just don't get it.

When I went to TLagoon a couple years ago, I saw 2 girls topless about 8 or 9, there family was from England and each was running around in panties and no top......Maybe that is ok there? Or she didnt have a bathing suit, but even if she had panties on, they could have gotten a cheap tank top somewhere?????
Then at EPCOT in one of the splash water jets area that come out of the ground over near Mission Space (was couple years ago) again, a young girl, no top and in her underwear?
Now I raised 2 boys and they always wore shorts with their underroos,lol....if I had a girl esp with all the different kind of people (ie pedaphiles) that may be anywhere, I would never have my child topless and/or just in panties.....JMHO:confused3

Maybe this was their version of "Pants on the Ground" minus the pants. I totally agree with the PP. I panic when I see even a 3 yo girl without a top on or male/female child without pants over the age of 2 (under 2 diaper okay). Maybe I read too many crime books, but pedophiles do not have a certain look. I would rather not take my chances and tempt a child-hungry perv. It just isn't worth it. Bring an extra change of clothes. Bring a swimsuit. You always have options that can keep your child dressed.

The family I mentioned in my post were also from England. I know in other countries customs vary. Nudity is quite common in say, Greece for example and they consider Americans very prudish. But when it comes to children you cannot be too careful because of pedophilia.
