PanoraMagique balloon

When we went in July, we tried to go on it, but they said the weather wasn't right. We looked around us & not a leaf on a tree was moving, it was a lovely day. We looked every day for a week & never saw it go up, so I don't know when it does??

Opening times:

1st April to 31st October: every day from 9 am to 11 pm.

1st November to 31st March: every day from 10 am to 8 pm.

PanoraMagique may be closed without warning, notably in unfavourable weather conditions.

It wasn't open thursday/ friday/ saturday last week when we were there ....

But we did do it on our last trip and the views were fantastic! I'm not particularly keen on heights - at least when there is nothing solid under my feet but I was fine.

I think you'd all like it, it was very smooth when we went on and you do get great views across the resort, on a clear day you can apparently see the Eiffel Tower, my geography isn't good enough to be able to tell you which direction to look in.
I enjoyed it and felt safe and I don't do heights and hate walking across anything with water underneath, piers etc, are out for me.

Wow, this is so much cheaper than I expected for some reason...

We are definitely going to do this in November! :)

i am really afraid of heights but i have a fascination with this balloon lol. i really want to do it in november.

I shall report back when i go next week, I just hope DD doesn't freak out.

I want to go on this too but am scared of heights!

Whats the standing area like? Is there like metal cage around you or are you stood in the bottom of it and then its free air for you to fall over lol

Theres a metal cage you stand in - sort of round the edges. So there is a cage on the inside as well

Also it just goes up slowly and stays for a while then comes down

We've just been from 13th Sep to the 18th and not once have we seen the Panoramagique balloon in the air.

There was a sign saying closed to wind but there was only a very slight breeze - I wonder if it stays closed during quiet times and opens during the weekends / busy times?

Having been several times when the ballooon was closed, was finally made it onto it this summer :cool1: You do get a fantastic view, though we were slightly disappointed with how quickly it was all over (though this could be a positive for those of you who aren't sure if you'll like it!).

Anyway, these photos might help explain what you actually stand in for those who were asking ...

It's like a polo mint really, with a hole in the middle. You can walk all the way round ...

Grrrrrrrrr ... I'm sorry I have no idea why those photos are showing the wrong way round - on photobucket they are all the right way up!! It keeps doing this to me recently - anyone know why??

I almost described it as a polo mint as well but thought people would think I was mad - so Im glad its not just me who thinks like that :rotfl:

i think i could handle that. thanks for posting the pics

We have been up in the balloon at Paris and the one at DTD in WDW. The views from the Paris one are amazing, you can even see the Eiffel Tower in the distance. Here are a few more pics:

i was all on for it until i realised theres no middle to it!! im chewing my nails at the thoughts!!

then again i was like a leaf on the manchester eye and its only a baby one! :lmao:

well thats me finished with it sweetiepie :scared1:
not a chance, not a hope, i'll wave.... from ground level

There can't be a middle, that's where the rope goes to hold it to the ground! ;)

The bit you go in is solid though, if that helps :goodvibes
