I watched a video of it and it made me feel queasy I'm not a fan of heights but its something i would love to do.

It's something I've always wanted to do as well but Ellie doesn't want to and I don't really want to do it on my own...maybe one day when the boys are a little older.

Go for it, I'm sure you'll be fine. I believe that you are sat/stood in a cage and teathered to the ground so you won't be going anywhere you shouldn't!!

Emma, I am not very good with heights (think someone crawling to Tintagel Castle on their hands and knees ) but I felt very safe up there.

Do it, you will be so glad you did.

I'd love to go up with my new camera in May but I'm scared of heights too, and what if it bursts? One stray bird with a sharp beak and I'll be swimming in Lake Disney or sitting on the roof of the Newport Bay!

Steve thats my thoughts exactly, DD keeps saying we will blow away.

It does look like we will get some amazing views, so if the weather is nice then we will risk death

Opening times:

1st April to 31st October: every day from 9 am to 11 pm.

1st November to 31st March: every day from 10 am to 8 pm.

PanoraMagique may be closed without warning, notably in unfavourable weather conditions.

This is rather embarrassing, but despite having been to DLP twice, and walking past the balloon umpteen times, I had no idea until this thread that it was a "ride" you could go on. I thought it was just some sort of fibreglass model thing that went up and down, sort of like those advertising barrage balloons you see.
I can't wait to go up in it now!

You do get fantasic views from up there.
We've done it 3 times and each time was different -
the first time was in the evening after the studios had closed but the main park was still open so it was interesting to see the empty park against the busy one
the 2nd time was the same but it was in the dark so we saw the main park all lit up
the 3rd time was this summer and we did it during the day so both parks were in operation
