I have the Duet by Emeril which I bought on HSN for around $30. It works great and I use it about once a week. I made quesadillas this past weekend and they were yummy. I also bought one for my son and he loves it.

Some reviewers on the HSN website complained that the plates did not always lock in correctly, but I was lucky and have not had a problem so far. I made quesadillas this past weekend and they were yummy.

I've seen nearly identical models w/o Emeril's name at places like Macy's and Dillard's. You could always take it out of the box and make sure the plates lock in before you buy.

I bought my sister the Breville one for Christmas last year. She loves it and uses it multiple times a week and I will say the sandwiches out of it are delicious! She said recently how happy she was I got it for her....good luck on your hunt!
