We leave next week and I was just on the Airtran website and our flight down is not listed at all! What happened? Is it full? did they change it and not tell us? Who do I call and what do I need to find out?

No- No TA -not through Disney - booked ourselves

I would call AirTran. They may have had a schedule change...

Also, if you already picked out your seat assignment double check it.

I would call AirTran as soon as possible. Delta did this to us last year and it meant they cancelled our flight.

Yes, I agree. I would call them right away. Last year Delta also did this to us. I was online checking flights and our flight coming home was gone from the site. When we called up they said they cancelled the flight. They automaticly put us on an earlier flight coming home. They said they were "surprised" nobody called us to tell us. Well anyway, we said coming home on an earlier flight was not acceptable, they put us on a later flight in first class!. Good Luck!

Delta did this to us last year, too! However we did get a call, whereas several people who were in line for the flight had NOT gotten a call. Since we booked our trip through a TA, we called her and explained what had happened, and she called Delta, and got everything straightened out. We ended being put on another airline going out and Delta had to eat the cost for doing so. Now this DID cause a problem when we were checking out. Because of the glitch going, we couldn't check our bags from the hotel, so we had to check them at the airport.

Be aware that if you're using ME and have already booked ME and gotten your tags, this might cause a problem with checking bags on your departure day.

Hey, do not panic! As long as you have a conf # or receipt, it should be OK. Call Air-tran asap. Continental actually did this for my trip home yesterday, and did not tell me. I told them I was a frequent flyer and was very upset I was not told earlier. They changed my flight yesterday (it was only different by 1 hour) AND they upgraded my mom and I's seats to first class for our Disney trip next week :goodvibes I would have prefered a free flight, but this will do. Good luck and keep us posted!

Yes keep us posted. We are using AirTran in Feb 07 and I would like to know if you liked them and how they fixed this situation for you. :)

We booked our AirTran flights through WDW. We received notice from Disney the frst time our flights were cancelled, but I noticed on the AirTran website the second time. I checked for a new flight that was more to my liking (than the one they put me on). AirTran was very accomadating to ensure that I was happy with my new flight.

We booked Delta (song) through WDW Travel, and a couple of weeks ago we got a notice that our flights had been changed. What had happened, was the had changed the type of plane scheduled and the flight numbers. The times are the same. So check that angle too before the heart attack sets in.

Oh no! I'm flying AirTran tomorrow morning. I better go check out what's going on!
I was able to check-in online for tomorrow. I hope you all get things worked out, and I wish you the best on your trips!

I hope this worked out for you and it was just some sort of glitch...We have had our flights change 4 times (times and flights numbers both) now from LA to Orlando on Delta in December and have never received any communication on the changes from them.

I can remember the good old days where except in odd circumstances, when you had a flight booked that was what you flew on. I know there are reasons the airlines must make changes from time to time; but there is a point where it gets unreasonable; especially when no communication is made with the customers.

It happened to us too. They said that they don't call or email until closer to your actual flight date, because there is usually several minor changes. I didn't like the flights they had chosen (and the fact that we lost our nonstop flight) but they were very friendly and accomodating about moving me to my desired times. And we got 2 extra half days at Disney out of it!

The worst part of the experience was the 50 minute phone wait before I got to speak to anyone. They REALLY want you to use the website. But the lady who helped me was very friendly and I was happy with her service.

Come to think of it, I think I will check our flight times again! We have 21 days to go.

After reading your post, I went to check our flights on AirTran, and ours had been changed, too. We are supposed to leave on Sept. 30th, and the new flight had us arriving in Orlando around five in the evening, which was not going to work! I called AirTran and they were extremely helpful, scheduling us for another flight earlier in the day that was open. As long as you have your confirmation number, there should be no problem.

I called, and the lady didn't want to give me any information becuase my mom had mistyped putting in my phone number so I wasn't giving her what was in the system. FInally I got the information. They had changed our flights and not let us know. We are leaving 10 min later, have a 2 hour instead of a 1 hour layover and are arriving at WDW at 9pm. :sad2:

Then I called my mom and told her to check her flights - she's meeting us in Atlanta to fly out. They changed her flight to 2 hours EARLIER and never told her either. She found out from the lady she talked to that our flights were changed twice and neither time we got notice.

End result is they put mom on our flight becuase mine has a layover and they would have had to change the whole thing, and the only earlier flight is at 9am with a SIX hour layover that I can't do becuase I have to put in at least half a day at work. So they put her on my flight and we get in later. But we're still going and we have no change fees. We leave this coming week so we're keeping an eye on it.

This is the first time it's happened to us and we fly AirTran a lot. In fact mom and dad are flying to San Fransico next month so she's watching that one too.

American changed my flight last month. I was going to be getting in 3 hours later than planned, which would have meant missing my first set of ADRs our first night (DH and I are flying seperately, since my work is picking up my airfare because I'm piggy-backing vacation with a work trip). Anyway, called the company's TA who arranged my flights, and the TA was great...she told the airline that I was going to miss a business meeting (I didn't ask her to lie, honest!) and so the airline refunded the full amount of the ticket. Then, she re-booked me on the same flight as my DH, which actually gets in 1 hour earlier, which made my day.

The TA explained that on the 1st and 15th of every month, all airlines update their flight schedules and then notify passengers/TAs. She said they usually have 50-60 people they have to notify each time..and that American is the worst about changing flight times.

I'm just holding my breath that our flight now doesn't change...with all the new airline regulations (darn terrorists :( ), we're already having to adjust our plans so that we can get to the airport earlier than we'd originally planned.
