My SO is having an Upper GI Endoscopy in the morning (including the stretching of his esophagus). He's had severe acid reflux for awhile now. This will be the first time he's been put to sleep. I think I'm more nervous than he is.:o

Wish us luck.:) I'm hoping they give me a bed to sleep in while they're working on him.;) We have to be at the hospital super early in the morning. I told him the only good reason to have to get up as early as we are having to get up is if we were headed to WDW.:p

Oooh..looks like it'll be a Vitameata morning...:(;)...good luck to you and SO.:)

Thanks Ethel.:) I've thought about asking the nurses if they could give me a coffee IV, but I didn't think about Vitameatavegamin.:p

Best wishes for a successful proceedure for Allen.

Hopefully, you'll get to the hospital so early that you'll get your first choice of comfy chairs while you wait. But take a good book, just in case. :)

Thanks Sis.:) We're the first ones in day surgery in the morning. We're actually getting there an hour before their normal operating time.

I've already got a couple of Disney books in my purse, just in case I get bored.;)

Prayers and PD for your SO that his procedure goes smoothly! I'm with you, Shannon. Get that coffee/caffeine IV. :teeth:

Good luck! Please let us know how he makes out.

Hope everything goes well for both of you today!

{{{hugs}}}

It'll be okay.

i hope your both doing well, shannon!

Good luck to your SO! :)

My brother had that procedure done twice in the last 5 years. It's not a pleasent procedure to undergo :(, but it has made a huge difference for him! He was down to eating nothing but pureed foods at one time! Now he can eat just about anything!

Again, good luck to him. :)

Prayers for an easy procedure, conclusive results, and an afternoon nap. ;)
I had a morning nap instead.;)

Jason, you should've sent that pd for that bed about 2 hours earlier. My SO was already out of surgery when you sent the pd.:teeth:

My SO did real well.:) He's got a hiatal hernia, and his esophagus was very constricted (I have a nickname for him now from the procedure;)). They did some biopsies on some inflammation on his stomach (I heard that was routinely done though). He's groggy, but doing well.:)

Thanks for the good wishes, prayers and pd everyone.:)
