Does anyone know about the capacity for the new rides opening in Pandora? Trying to gauge what lines will be like. I have a trip planned for June 17-25 (fingers crossed its open by then) and if its open I'm trying to see how much time we would need. AK is usually a half day park for us but if its open we would probably do a full solid day. Might we need an extra half day or full day?

Am I safe in assuming that once Pandora opens the park will have extended evening/night hours?

Problem is, not only do we have to worry about the added time needed for the new stuff, but Pandora might also bring in the crowds, resulting in longer lines for EVERYTHING. So, what took only 1/2 day to accomplish before, might take closer to a full day. Then, add the new stuff...

I am planning 2 days, but if we don't need the 2nd day, we'll just go to MK instead.

I know it's not a direct comparison, but when "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" first opened in Florida, the rest of the park was empty for the first couple of hours each day.

This is sort of what I am planning on. I am *hoping* to get FP for the Pandora rides and be able to tour the rest of the park in rather emptiness for the first few hours. We go early June though... so I am not planning on any advantage as far as FP goes- which is too bad, AK would be days 69 and 70 for Fast Pass booking.

The leaked photo of the "Flight of passage" seems to show six bays with 8 slots each. So 48 Riders/ride, possibly close to double that if each Banshee holds two people. Assuming a 4min ride with 2min/loading time, gives 10 rides per hour, so something in the range of 480-960 people per hour. Which overall is similar to Peter Pan. With a daily attendance at AK of around 40,000. You can expect VERY VERY long lines. Even if there is more than one bay, Fastpasses will eat up a lot of the capacity. Two hours plus for the first year is my prediction.

Or as Carl Sagan once commented on this quote from Galileo Galilei:

Galileo Galilei said:
I can't see a thing on the surface of Venus. Why not? Because it's covered with a dense layer of clouds. Well, what are clouds made of? Water, of course. Therefore, Venus must have an awful lot of water on it. Therefore, the surface must be wet. Well, if the surface is wet, it's probably a swamp. If there's a swamp, there's ferns. If there's ferns, maybe there's even dinosaurs."

Observation, "I can't see anything", Conclusion "Dinosaurs"

Really I have no idea what the capacity/Wait times will be.

I can't process that AK won't go to Tiers with both Pandora rides in Tier 1.

.

So 48 x 2 = 96 .............. ONE Soarin' theater holds 87. I don't even want to think about the lines for this.

WDW's first Fastpass Only attraction?

(And you did read the part of my post where I confess I have no idea what I'm talking about right?)

I would not be surprised to see them as FP+ only but I also think they can't let this go to 60 Day = ALL FP+ are gone. So there lies the problem, unless they release them staggered weeks. The bulk of their guests are offsite and if there is no chance of them getting FP+ or getting on without hours and hours of waiting ......... no good will come.

Oh it's totally okay you don't know what you are talking about ................... 99.9999% of people talking about this know nothing. All are guessing, conjecturing, copying and pasting others words ............ but how refreshing of you to say. We can't help but have good convo on what may be ............ let's just hope in the end it all works (cough ROL).

We all saw the picture, it does look about what you say. Now possibly there are two theaters and that would help ... but still an issue as we know from Soarin'.

This has 4 theaters.

From what I have heard hourly capacity will be between 1800 and the low 2000s. That would put it in line with Space mountain type capacity.

Double plus good. Any idea on the boat ride?

So reversing the Math:

2,000 guest/hour with 4 theaters = 500 guest/hour/theater.
Assuming 48 riders/cycle we get 500/48 = 10 cycles/hour or 6 min/cycle including loading/unloading.

So something on the order of a 3-min attraction?

Well that's a ride that might have capacity issues. I don't remember number but its quite a short ride.

I was wondering that based on the size of the building. So a 7DMT type experience. Long line, quick ride.

I don't know a specific ride time. Many were assuming similar to Soarin.

Like a boat ride similar to JC, Or one closer to IASW?:confused3

Think in length of Frozen, but using the technology similar to the Shanghai Pirates.
:scared: Yikes...That short:confused3???
At least it's better than nuttin.... But I was expecting a lil more than that...

Other than those 2 attractions, What else is supposed to be over there? TS, QS, Shops,Shows?
