Pandora preview for DVC or AP holders?

I was just reading on the theme park thread (from someone who has an inside source - who knows if that is true) that they will possibly be doing a preview for AP and DVC owners for Pandora. It sounds like it would be starting some where around 4/22. Just so happens that is the day i was planning on going to AK.

Anyways - I am wondering if this is something that the parks have typically done when testing out some sort of soft opening for rides or lands? do they send out emails for this type of event?

I attended a scheduled AP preview for the "second phase" of New Fantasyland (the bits after dumbo/barnstormer, but before 7dmt). We also did Everest pre-"official"-opening; it did soft openings, but just open to whoever happened to be in the park that day, and it wasn't up every day.

There was an AP preview date for The Haunted Mansion, a few years ago.

We did preview of New Fantasyland.
We did get an email, I believe......AP and DVC

I wonder if they send out emails to those who have reservations or does would it just go out to all DVC/AP holders?

When we have gotten emails for smaller invitations before (advance movie screenings, the Epcot festival of the arts reserved seating, etc) we have had an onsite reservation that coincided with the event. I have a friend who got the DVC email for free tickets to the after hours event last spring when she had an onsite reservation. I did not receive that email but I did not have an onsite reservation so I think they often are only sent to onsite guests.
