We bought my daughter a pandora braclet for her birthday. I would like to get a few charms for Christmas. Does anyone know of other brands that will fit on it? I didn't realize how expensive this gift was going to be! LOL! It looks silly with just two charms on it.
Also do you normally stick with a color theme or style or does anything go?
Thanks!

Chamilia has Disney charms but they are in the same price range as Pandora. Trollbeads is another brand that is slightly cheaper.

I just looked up Goody Beads http://store.goodybeads.com/store/index.html and saw that they are less expensive. Now, I've never heard of this website so I can't vouch for the quality of them or anything.

not sure what brand they use but all of the dance stores around here carry beads that fit and they are only $5-10 a bead... and they are pretty ( not all are dance beads, most are regular beads)

One of our local-owned pharmacies has beads that will fit; I have no idea what the brand is, but they are about $5 each. I bought one of the rings the other day, and found someone on Etsy that sells beads also.

When I first got mine I only had a few beads so I went to ACMoore and bought some really cheap. The bead prices keep going up $5 at a time. I filled in with Disney Camilia and Disney cheap when I was there.

If you put non-pandora beads on your pandora bracelet, you void the bracelet warrantly.
Non-pandora beads have been known to get stick on the spacers and even unwrap the coil or break.

FYI. Also, jewlers and the company can pre-emtively (sp?) cancel your warranty if you present to a store with non-pandora beads on your bracelet.

First, nobody has to know if you have non-Pandora beads on your bracelet. Just remove them before going to the jewelry store. Second, the warranty is only for one year anyway.

Both AC Moore and Michael's sell beads that will fit your daughter's bracelet.

Well, they won't know until those non-Pandora beads get stuck on your bracelet and you can't get them off. ;)

For those that don't know, Pandora bracelets are divided into sections separated by small circles that are threaded, and the beads are screwed on.

I don't think Troll beads fit on Pandora, though Chamilia do.

Kohl's carries the beads though they reccomend bring it in to make sure of fit.

I have a completely full Pandora - it took me several years to fill it. I have Chamila beads as well as Pandora.

One thing I did until I filled it with the "real" beads was I bought colored glass beads and some of the 925 silver ones off of ebay.

Another thing I learned early on is to get the locking beads for the "joints" of the bracelet. These allow you to place beads equally around the bracelet without the annoyance of them all grouping together due to gravity.

I did have a bead get stuck once, DH gave it a squirt with a spray silicone and it loosened right up.

Chamilia beads will fit on a Pandora bracelet but Troll beads will not.

I've bought beads off of e-bay for much less money as filler but it is buyer beware, make sure you buy sterling silver or they will severely tarnish the bracelet - and I would not buy beads sold as being authentic chamilia or pandora on e-bay as I learned to my regret, with a few exceptions, many are fake. Also, if they are shipped directly from China be aware they are advertising and selling them as sterling, but they are NOT sterling.

Thanks everyone! But do I need to stay in a color theme? Or is it fine to just put on there what I like or she likes?
I figure I can buy a few of their silver ones. They aren't too bad in price and then maybe once a year for her birthday get a more expensive bead. I guess I really should have thought this out better!

It is your daughter's bracelet and she needs to be happy with it and have on it what she likes or she won't wear it. Forget a theme, do what you want so she's happy.

Pandora beads fit on Troll amd Chamilla but not vice versa.

I bought a 'lot' of glass beads from Amazon to help fill in my bracelet while waiting to get charms. I put a few black ones on, that go with most of the things I like to wear. And I gave some to my mom/sister/friends. But depending on your dd's age, she might like to have a lot of different choices so she can change it up frequently. These slide over my Pandora bracelet's 'bumps' without getting stuck, plenty of room. A few in my 'lot' were ugly, but there were more than enough of the 50 that were pretty, I felt I got my money's worth:

Also, ACMoore has charms that fit on the Pandora. They are very inexpensive. And you can use a 40% off coupon on them as well.

Not all Chamilia will fit on Pandora. I was buying Disney Chamilia beads on Main Street, and the woman in front of me purchased several beads for her Pandora bracelet, and one of them did not fit, so she could not purchase it.

I think it may have been the Pooh Bear one, but not sure?

The CM was encouraging all of us in line to try have the bracelets with us, if they were not Chamilia, so as to try the beads directly on the bracelet at time of purchase.

I have purchased a few lower cost beads for my Pandora bracelet, and all of them have reacted with the chain and left oxidation on the bracelet (and my arm), one of them cracked. I don't have that problem with the Chamilia and Pandora charms.

I have used the beads at Kohl's as fillers for my dd's Pandora.
I have all Pandora on my bracelet, except for one Chamilia. Mine is a mishmash of charms, I do not change them out to match what I wear. I view it like a traditional charm bracelet where you fill it with charms that represent something about you, or ones you just like.
