I need a new point and shoot type camera, one that is not complicated but performs. I am looking to take day/night shots at WDW, including fireworks and parade pictures.

The Lumix FH20 has great write ups and reviews on Amazon.com, but I was wondering if anyone on the boards could add any +/- about the camera :).

Also, I was looking at the Kodak PlaySport ZX3 because I like the waterproof feature. I do know that this camera is I believe a cam that also takes still pictures. Any +/- you can share about this camera as well would be greatly appreciated.

One thing is for sure, I need something easy peasy!:dance3:

Thanks a bunch!:flower3:

Hi!
New to the site so you are my first post! I highly reccomend the Luminex series. I have a TZ5 that I love! It is simple to use Digital but also has great advanced features that you can use as you grow with the camera. Shoots high Def video in 15 min blocks as well (all depending on the fps rate)

I'm including a few pics so you can see what it can do. These were shot in the camera's basic programmed modes. Fireworks, Outdoor Scenery, Night Scene and Cloudy. All were shot without a tripod.

Cheers!

I own both the Canon D10 and Olympus 1030SW water proof cameras. The Olympus has an extended warrantee through Olympus (and I'll likely need it.) Shooting under water is an interesting beast! Lighting is hard. But the pictures are like no other - especially when you get bubbles in your picture!

I personally think water proof cameras are just OK performing cameras. And they leak! I've already had to send my Olympus back and the reason I have the D10 now is I want two cameras for discovery cove this year in case one breaks.

The Kodak cameras don't impress me much and an HD Cam Corder that is water poof for that price point? - make sure you can take it back without a restocking fee if you don't like it.

we bought the FH20 earlier this year for a quick pocket camera-it does the job fine-I have been shooting with a SLR for 10+ so it doesn't compare but it fits in my purse at all times and is great to have on hand-also has a ton of zoom to it.
