We will be starting our journey out of Harlingen, Texas way down in South, South Texas. I always say South, South Texas because people think San Antonio is South Texas and we are 250 miles south of them.

Well, I am totally at the other end of the state. I can get to the OK border in an hour, way up in the northeast TX corner.

I am about 50 miles east of Dallas. I was raised in a town called Greenville, went to college in Commerce and now reside with the family in a very small town in between the two called Campbell. I basically live in a country community, but have the joy of larger towns 10 miles either side of me and the metroplex of Dallas less than an hour away.

I was actually going to go to East Texas State as it was known way back then. So, I know exactly where Greenville and Commerce are located - but it has been many years since I have been there. Anyway, I ended up going to North Texas State - as it was known way back when - in Denton.

Yes, ETSU is my alma mater!!! Whenever I receive communication from them now they say I am an A & M alum and I state (to myself) no I am not I graduated from ETSU.
How did y'all wind up so far south?
I was born & raised in Greenville and my DH gave me the option of living in Greenville or Campbell and I knew he wanted to live on his family land, so we built in Campbell and have been here 29 years now.

Yesterday was an exciting day for us. Kaleigh won 1st place for showmanship in the junior fair cat show! She now has a rather large trophy. Her picture was also in the paper this morning. The county fair is a huge deal here.

We leave 3 weeks from today!

Posted the website info on our group facebook site. Wasn't sure if I posted it here, it would be deleted by the boards. I'm not as familiar with disboards. I've used Cruise Critic more since this is only my 2nd DCL cruise. The gentleman I've gotten emails back from is Cesar. Super prompt. Filled out info online at the website. Didn't pay. He emailed me back quickly. Confirmed reservation and will pay once there. We opted to let him arrange the taxi pickup. He works with the taxis, so the rate is already pre-arranged. Had read a review on Trip Advisor where customer got lost, so figured this was more of a sure thing.

We are looking at booking this excursion. What tour time did you choose? My wife feels it is better to have a group of people than being just the 2 of us.

Please do come along. The more the merrier. There are a couple of others on our cruise who are doing the Segway tour also. We are booked for the 10:30 tour. They will send a taxi to port at 10:00. This is an additional cost besides the tour.
