Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

Anyone have suggestions for Cozumel. Thinking this may be a good beach place. Been here many times. We will be docked at a different port than I've ever been. Not too sure what is around. We aren't here very long, so thinking a ship excursion might be a better way to go. Have done others on our own here.

We did a chocolate 'factory tour' last year on our own. It was very educational and inexpensive - it was not at all Willy Wonka - more of a home style family business but it was enjoyable and we got chocolate! It was not long - about an hour.

Forget educational...it's chocolate! :)

We usually just walk around in Cozumel. We like to have lunch at Panchos Backyard. We have never done an excursion here. We did talk about visiting some ruins this trip, but we decided to keep it low key. It isn't easy being off the ship for very long periods when I am not sure of the food that is offered on these excursions. I don't want my daughter getting ill or going hungry. Snacks only carry you so far.

Is Panchos Backyard close to where we will be docked? We are thinking about doing the Fury Catamaran Snorkle and Beach excursion. It would be completed shortly after noon and would give us time to eat if close by.

I have private messaged everyone on the Galveston to Hobby Airport list with the latest details. Thanks!

Mommaluvsdis and I are doing this.

It is a pretty good walk. It is all the way at the end of the street all the shops are on. We usually are shopping along the way, so haven't paid close attention, but it is walkable.

Hello everyone! Even though Randy and I have been super busy these last couple of weeks, we think about this cruise every day and are really excited. Luckily we have something big to keep us from losing our minds thinking about this cruise. We are anxiously waiting for the birth of our grandson. He is due in the next couple of weeks and I am waiting to hear from DD so I can head to AZ to welcome him into the world and help her and her husband with whatever they need.
I have a question for those who have done laundry on the ship. Do I need to bring coins or do we use our KTTW card? Are there any suggestions for making laundry as pain free as possible?
Thanks!

Awesome! Congratulations! Is this your first grandchild? Steve and I have one of each from two of our three sons. They're called GRAND for a reason!:cool1:

No cash necessary as you will use your KTTW card. I'm sure on a cruise this length I will probably do a couple of loads myself.

Hoping all goes well and keep us updated.

What great anticipation that must be as you await the birth of your grandson! Congratulations to your daughter and husband as parents to be and to you both as grandparents to be!

I am going to tag onto your laundry question. Does anyone know if the ship also does dry cleaning?

Yes. In fact Mommaluvsdis and I don't worry about pressing or dry cleaning before we leave and send everything that needs it out the first day. Makes packing so much easier and everything is fresh when you need it. Their prices are very compare able to dry cleaners on land, too.
