Panama Canal Eastbound Sept. 14, 2013--it'll be WONDER-ful

Hello all! We just booked this cruise and are joining you! It will be DH and I. Our 24th anniversary is September 30, so we thought we would make this a celebration for that. We have always wanted to go through the PC and what better way than on the Wonder! We are so excited!!:cool1::yay::banana:

Welcome to the board. Things aren't real active on here right now but hopefully it will pick up closer to the cruise. There is also a FB group too. Send a message to the cruisinlattas and she will get you hooked up.

I tried PMing cruisinlattas on Dis boards and got a no such person response. Can't find a cruisinlattas on FB. Is it spelled differently?

She is on FB as Renee Yousey Latta. Search her that way or by the FB group name Disney Panama Canal Cruise September 2013. One of these should get you there.

:welcome: Glad you are joining us.

Welcome new cruisers!

I am always reluctant to book gty. We like to pick our cabin and I am afraid what we would get by going with a gty.

Thanks! We ended up booking a gty veranda for the first time ever. The price difference was just too big not to. Hopefully it will work out.

We are from Southern California, so if anyone has any questions, I will be happy to answer them if I can. We are about 40 miles from DL and about he same distance from the port. We live just north of Hollywood.

Let me know too cause I'm 12:30 out of hobby.

From the Port of Galveston information center, it is 47 minutes to Hobby and 80 minutes to IAH :car: We are scheduled to disembark at 9:30 so 11:30 for us is probably not going to happen. Might risk it if not for the 30 minute steaming time from port to open sea, occasional fog delays, and immigration risks; all needs be perfect - too much pressure.

I'm going to risk it. That's what travel insurance is for... Lol

I totally agree with you. I am too much of a control freak and I am picky on our room. I have spoiled DH to a certain area of the ship and so there I am.

Glad I don't have to worry about flying home. I am saving on airfare by having my son drive down and pick us up. All it is costing me is dinner at Fisherman's Wharf and a hotel stay.

I am the same way also but we have been wanting to do the PC cruise for years and we had the choice of getting a VGTY or not go at all, we decided it was much more worth going and giving up that little bit of control. Hopefully it will work out for us and we will end up in a good room. At least we will be on the ship and have a veranda. :cool1::woohoo:

What document are you trying to access. If it is the FE list, I will check and see if I sent you the link.

Hi,
We're Terry and Larry and very excited about this cruise. This will be our third and we have had so much fun with FE. But, we don't know how to get on the list. Our daughter-in-law took care of it on the last cruise by Facebook. I don't do Facebook. Any suggestions?

It's official. My friend and I are booked! I cannot believe we are actually leaving our DH's home for 14 days! :) Looking forward to having a great time. We took the gty veranda. It was just too good of a deal to pass up.

Since DH and I just did an 8 day out of Galveston on the Magic, I had registered with disboards. My friend will join us here on the boards once she's had time to register. BTW...we did a gty for our Magic cruise, and we were just fine with the assignment. Hoping for the same with this cruise.

Have never done 4 sea days in a row, so that will be different. Have always wanted to do a trans-Atlantic, so this will be a good test run!

That's us too. We frequently pick the same cabin over and over. At least we know where our cabin is! :rolleyes1 Although, this cruise is a different cabin for us. We also like one side of the ship. If we get the other, we keep going the wrong way out of habit, LOL! :rotfl2:

If it is the difference between going and not going, I would absolutely go with a gty!
