Going out to lunch today with two friends, one who is moving to ALASKA at the end of the month. We're going to Applebee's so I think my plan is some chicken breasts and (hopefully) steamed broccoli. I'm going to order water to drink. Both friends are doing low carb so it should be pretty easy.
Yesterday went well with the cookie making. All the moms and kids were standing around eating the frosted cookies and I just kept saying, no sugar will pass these lips! And it didn't.

Actually I couldn't believe how "untempted" I was. This doesn't always work for me, but I didn't even WANT a cookie. I was amazed.
Yesterday I had to .....um......run to the bathroom, if you know what I mean. And the same thing just happened to me this morning. I can't even believe that it is 5:30 am and I am on the computer. I went to bed dead tired at 9:30 last night and woke up this morning at 4:30am. What is going on? No caffeine drinks yesterday except for tea at breakfast. Wow! Could this be my low carb energy surge? I've been waiting for it for over a week. Hopefully I'll be able to make it until 9:00 tonight.
Oh, and I am removing the 10 pound clippie for now. I had gained some over the holidays and I should have taken it away then. I guess I was hoping that the weight would come off fast, but it hasn't. It will mean that much more when I get to add it back. I mean, come on.... an attorney's wife has to be "legal".
Breakfast - tea with splenda (the first time I haven't had breakfast for months! Just didn't have time. I think I paid for this later)

Lunch - Lunch at Applebee's: chicken breast, mushrooms, peppers, melted cheese, sauted broccoli, squash, zuccini
Carbs = 11
Dinner - Lunch I split in half and had the other half for dinner.
Snack - This is where I had a hard time. I was in a munchy mood, BIG TIME, so I was looking for something to snack on. I really wanted tortillas and cheese/bean dip but I settled for pork rinds and salsa. The salsa was a new kind that was in the refrid. section. It was like homemade. YUMMM! 1 carb for 2 tbl.. I think I had like 20 tbl.. Way too much, but I was so hungry. Then I had 3 oz. of mozz. cheese.

Well, at least I didn't have 5 Val. Day cookies like I would have before!

I am making SOME progress.
Carb = 13
Total Carb = 25 WoW! That's a ton for me!
Oh, and I also had a diet soda tonight. The first for me since last Sat. night. Like I said. I was in a junk food kind of mood. At least I had a lot of good veggies in the salsa.
