Pampered Chef Recommendations Needed

Garlic press , crinkle cutter ( LOVE IT ), mini serving spatula , ice cream scoop, mini whipper ( LOVE IT ) , suds pump.

I have wanted to try the pizza stone for years, just haven't gotten around to it. All my friends that have it love it.

The vast majority of the items PC sell are available elsewhere for less $$, but one thing I have that I LOVE is a plastic saucepan that goes in the microwave. It is ALWAYS in the dirty dishes - used daily.

Yes, you very well may find items cheaper elsewhere, but 1.) they are not the same quality! 2.) they do not have at least a 1 year warranty (some pc items have lifetime warranties)

What is an item that you won't regret buying? There isn't one in the catalog! PC is awesome, every piece of it. You just have to determine what you would actually use the most. I have stuff that I use more than others, and let me say I have most of the catalog.

1.) nylon tool - I think it is called the mix-n-masher. It can be used to mash potatoes right in your teflon coated pans.

2.)lg. batter bowl - use this all the time to mix pancakes or waffles at night to cook the next morning.

3.) stoneware - large bar pan. I use it for bacon, biscuits, cookies, pizza, pumpkin roll, etc. I also use my 9X13's with the lid all the time, too. Great pot roast, corned beef, or casseroles!

4.) Spices - korinjie cinnamon, the spice blend, or southwest seasoning! I love them all, but those are my favorites.

5.) mini prep bowls w/lids - I use them every day to mix up scrambled eggs, cut up veggies for casserole or whatever we are having for dinner. My husband will microwave his eggs in them (yuck on that one)

And I could go on and on and on! I love everything PC. I have the forged cutlery set, the pots and pans, most stones (oh yeah, deep dish pie plate is another fave!)

You just can't go wrong w/PC!

I agree, you can't go wrong. Anything that looks interesting will work and last. I have stoneware, mixing pitcher, little gadgets, crinkle cutter, pizza cutter, too many to mention, that I bought 15 years ago that I still use nearly every day.

A note about my garlic press: it sits unused in my drawer since we got a Costco. I can get a giant container of minced garlic that tastes just as fresh for under $4. It lasts over a year and is way quicker and easier cleanup.

I have been to MANY PC parties in my life and have many of their products. You could spend a fortune!! When I'm not really in need of anything, but go to a friend's party, I purchase:
Seasonal Cookbook $1.00
Nylon Pan scrapers (I use on everything) $2.75
Twixit Combo Pack $5.50

Here are my favorites and the ones I use most often:
Large scoop $14.50
Classic Batter Bowl $15.00
Garlic Press $16.00
Smooth Edge Can Opener $17.50

I LOVE the PC microplane. It's simply wonderful for zesting. The drink pitchers that have the insert to mix up ingredients is nice, too. I use mine all the time for Crystal Light. One thing that I hate is the stones. They are just too darn heavy. I have the large rectangular one which I've used maybe twice. The muffin stone is nice--but again it too heavy--but I do use it more than the flat stone.:hippie:

The Cut-N-Seal is my absolute fave PC item! I use it all the time to make "uncrustables" for my kids. I sometimes make a loaf or two at a time and freeze them. I have had this for years and never had a problem!

My cut and seal broke-I am going to buy one of the knock off plastic ones and see if it lasts longer.

My favorites - the quick stir pitchers (I have 3!), the large and small serving spatula's, bamboo tongs (to take toast out of the toaster) and of course my pizza stones.

Two things I bought that I'm not satisfied with are the Chefs Tongs and the Cookie Press. For some reason when the tongs close they pinch me if I'm not careful, and I could never get the Press to work right. I see they totally redesigned the Press so maybe it wasn't just me.

I didn't really like my stone, too heavy! I do like the apple corer/peeler with the stand. I like the hand chopper and peeler. Batter Bowls are really nice, but I seldom use them.

I have had the garlic press for years. I LOVE it! it was worth the $$. I had a pizza stone, but it broke. I didn't think about trying to get it replaced at the time and threw it out. :( I miss it. I'm glad to see the crinkle cutter on some PPs lists. I found one at a garage sale last weekend, still in the plastic, for 50cents! :cool1:

pizza stone- never found anything else that cooks pizza, cookies, biscuits as well.

my favs are:

pizza cutter
spatula
measuring spoons (adjustable)
ice cream scooper
drink pitchers with the mixer built in

LOVE PC! I have pretty much bought everything that I could use and then some over the years. Most of the things I really like and use have been mentioned - but my one absolute favorite is the large rectangular deep dish baker (not sure if that's the exact name). It is the BEST lasagna pan ever.

Also, have to agree the quick-stir pitchers are great, but the big one can be a bit heavy when it's full so I use the smaller one a lot more.

I bought the ice cream sandwich maker but have never used it - DH still picks on me for that one.

And the large BBQ flipper is great for those who BBQ.

Have fun!

I love my deep dish baker, my pizza stones (perfect for cookies and french fries), my steamer bowls for the microwave (they're brown) and spatulas. I also like the quick-stir pitcher.

I would recommend a baking stone which could double as a baking pan. Mine is so well loved that it lives in the oven. You never have to wash it and once it's seasoned, things very rarely stick to it.

I leave mine in the oven, too. I've had it for years, and it has been fine. Reheated pizza is often better than it was the first time. Turn the oven on 400 with the stone on the bottom rack. When the oven is heated, slide your pizza onto the stone. Set the timer for 5 minutes - you may need 1 or 2 more minutes, depending on the thickness of the pizza. The crust is crisp instead of soggy. Yum!

I also like the batter bowls with lids. I use the big one the most, but I use the small one to measure liquids when I double my favorite pancake recipe. As a bonus, DD5 is talking about a Barbie cake for her 6th birthday (the one with the doll in the cake and the cake is the bottom of a ball gown). After doing some web searches, I found that I could bake the ball gown cake in the PC batter bowl!

I will probably not use a cake mix, but this gives me the right temp and time to bake (and now I know that I need to double my cake recipe!). And I don't have to buy a specialized pan!

I agree with most posted here. I did not like the pizza stone and gave it away, but both of my sisters have the deep dish baker and love it!!

I purchased the spicy pineapple rum spread, poured it over cream cheese for Pokeno night and everyone loved it!!! I have an order in for another bottle now! :lmao:

the mix n scraper (spoonish shaped heat resistant spatula), and twixits....don't buy the small round stone, you'll just end up wishing you had the large ones, and I love my stainless steel mixing bowls.

I used to have alot of PC parties and have been to quite a few. I have so many things, got alot of them for free when I hosted shows. I like the Pizza Stone, the classic scraper, the BBQ turner, the microwave saucepans, egg slicer plus, and the list goes on.
You can go on their website to view what they have. Think about what you have in your kitchen that you want to replace. Most of my kitchen tools are PC and many of them I got years ago.
Have fun. Usually you don't have to make your decision that night so if you need to think about what to buy, just ask when the orders need to be in and get it to your hostess before that day.

i loved my pizza stone! i broke it last year and cried!
PC is not big where i am but i am a huge fan. everything i have tried i love! thank god its NOT popular because I would spend wayyyyy too much money on it.
