Gosh, after practically living on these boards for the past year, you'd think I wouldn't have any questions left to ask. :p

BUT - in planning Palo, I want to do both the brunch and dinner. I figured I'd do Palo on the last night when the restaurants repeat but that would also be the day they offer brunch.

Would doing both on the same day be overkill? Those that have done brunch are you so full at dinner time that we wouldn't enjoy a Palo dinner?

Thanks for everyone's help - find I can't go a day without checking these boards (oh no, I'm a disboardaholic)

We did dinner at Palo at 7:30 on Monday and had scheduled our brunch for Tuesday at 10:30 and I wish I hadn't. I was still full from the dinner but at the time I thought it would be okay. I would recommend spreading them out.

We did Brunch on Sunday and dinner on Wednesday. I think that if we had done both on the same day, we wouldn't have enjoyed dinner, because we really were full from brunch all day. And you don't want to restrict yourself at the brunch knowing that you have dinner reservations. You want to try and enjoy everything.:Pinkbounc

Well, I can sort of address what we felt on last week's Western. Did the Brunch on Sunday, dinner on Wednesday (at 8:30) and then the 2nd brunch on Thursday at 10:30.....

At least in my case Wednesday's dinner did not influence my hunger lever on Thursday morning. I think the inspiration was just looking at the Brunch offerings and taking my time. Now I will admit that pretty much held me until dinner that night.

DRCLaws,

You and I were at Palos at about the same time last week! We did Sunday brunch at 10:00 and dinner Wednesday at 7:00, so I guess you came in about the time we left. Who was your server? We had Emmanuel both times and he was great. The dinner was so wonder ful that we considered brunch reses for Thurs but were afraid we wouldn't be hungry enough.

Some how, Disney Cruise Line trains your body to consume a lot of food. As the cruise progresses, you'll find yourself accostomed to eating, a lot!

By the end of the cruise I don't think you'll have a problem doing both brunch and dinner on the same day!

Both brunch times were 10:30 and dinner at 8:30. We had Gemma all three times!

We did brunch and dinner on the same day on the 5/23 Wonder. We had a later dinner seating so there was plenty of time to digest brunch. Made for a GREAT last day on the boat.

Although we enjoyed the dinner in Palo last year, we opted to do the Brunch again this year - as you get to taste the most delicious food AND get a wonderful view of the ocean! Its dark at dinner, so we preferred the atmosphere of the regular dining rooms.

DRCLaws: guess Gemma has "Palo overload" - she rang home from St. Thomas yesterday - to say that she and BF were going for a Chinese meal in port! Nat:Pinkbounc

We did bruch and dinner on the same day. I didn't eat anything in between and I was completely stuffed! On the other hand, DH ate Brunch, a snack, early seating appetizer and dinner (lobster) and Palo dinner. I could not believe how much food that man consumed that day!

WOW....getting off the ship twice in a week!! I imagine that after a while CM on-board food options tend to rather repetitive. I hope she was able to stay off more than a half-hour this time!

You know, before the May cruise I'd have agreed but by the time I hit Triton's I was so sick of food I couldn't bear to look at the substitute dinner or dessert I was served. At Palo I ate the vegies, drank some wine but left without finishing....I could not believe it.....I guess eating, for me, was not the ultimate cruise activity.....sleeping, maybe.....pace yourself on the food, though...

If that was the only times left they had, then I would do it. Would prefer to have them on different days, but guess you could twist my arm to eat in Palo's twice in one day ;)
