I am taking my sixteen year old daughter on a cruise for her birthday. I would like to celebrate with a birthday dinner at Palo, but know it is an adult only restaurant, 18 and over. Do they check the ages of the guests when booked? Is there anyway I can get past this and be able to take my daughter there. We have dined at many elegant restaurants together for special occasions in our home town. Anybody have any info on this??
Thanks in advance.

More then likely her age will be checked. Why not try to arrange something specatcular in your stateroom! I'm sure you could arrange for a special dinner or something.

DCL has all cruisers b-day's on file, and they also print your year of birth on the bottom left corner of your KTTW card, so I imagine that they would check her card. Either way, it's probably safe to say that they would somehow check her age.

See you learn something every day. I never knew about the birth year but looked back and sure enough there it is.

To the OP - sorry Palo is adults only and should be left that way. I do think they have some special teen times in the spa - maybe you could treat her with that.

You won't be able to get her into Palo, but how about staying at WDW the night before your cruise and going to V&As or Citicos or Jiko? There are probably nice restaurants near the Cape and other restaurants in Orlando as well.

They aren't going to let anyone < 18 into Palo, and honestly if I saw someone in there that was < 18 I would be quite upset. It's an adult restaurant. You dont see parents wanting to use the slides in the kids clubs.

Can't do it. They turn anyone not of age away. Take her to a nice lunch/dinner in one of the ports you are visiting.

StuartMI that is pretty funny about parents and the kid slides. I can just see the lines now.

I second the special teen spa idea.

My sisters were campaigning to remove the age restriction from the Mickey slide. They are both short enough to meet the height requirements and they were teasing the CMs about discrimination, they had a bunch of kids chanting "let them slide". It was all done in fun and they gave the CMs a heads up that it was all a joke so that the CMs could sternly tell them that it was just for kids knowing that they were not really dealing with an upset parent.
